Pac-man's logo looks backwards.
Dangit, I didn't even notice that beforehand and now it's going to bother me. I'm not even sure why it bothers me, other than the fact that the "C" in the PAC-MAN logo faces the other way.

Also, in general, the movement of some of the Pokémon summons seems really jerky; Fennekin and Eevee come to mind, but I'm sure there are others.

I have quite a few nitpicks actually:

-I don't like how Peach looks. This applies to every Smash game though. For some reason, Sakurai and his team never make her look like she does in the Mario games, and I don't understand why. Rosalina looks perfect; she looks just like she does in the Mario games. Peach looks like a completely different character.

-I have the same nitpick about Bowser, though this also applies to his voice. I can see what Sakurai's trying to do with Bowser's design and voice, but that isn't who Bowser is. He isn't just some monster, he's a doofus. Bowser has a lot of personality that just isn't there in Smash.

-All of the voice clips aside from Kirby, Pit, and Fox are imported directly from Brawl. That REALLY bothers me. This is Nintendo's biggest game of the year, and they can't even record Mario some new lines?

-All of the returning victory themes aside from Bowser's are imported directly from Brawl. Sonic's is still imported directly from Sonic 06. I'm hoping the ones we've been hearing are just placeholders because if not, this is going to be the first Smash game to re-use victory themes.

-Something looks very off about Palutena and Lucina. They both look extremely emotionless. I think their eyes might be too small or something.

-As excited as I am for there to be a portable Smash Bros, I still would have preferred it if the 3DS version just didn't exist. I know that they've said that this isn't the case, but I can't help but feel like it's holding back the Wii U version.

-Some series appear to still be really underrepresented while Kid Icarus Uprising content makes up a huge chunk of the game. Don't get me wrong, Kid Icarus Uprising is probably one of my favorite games of all time, but there are PLENTY of items and enemies from other series that just aren't there. Where are the Mother and Wario Land enemies in Smash Run? Where are all the Donkey Kong items?

-There is a LOT of clipping. Now, I can understand some clipping, but a character's model shouldn't ever clip with itself for no reason. I mean, during one of Zelda's idle animations, her hair just goes right through her chest. There's no reason for that. It's just lazy.

-From the looks of things, stage bosses are NOT fun. The Yellow Devil just looks annoying as hell and Sakurai seems to be really excited about him. I personally think this is why he's been keeping quiet about Ridley. I think Sakurai genuinely thinks that people are going to be excited to see him as a boss.

-DK's fur looks pretty bad in both versions of the game. I know there are limitations and everything, but after seeing how good it looked in Tropical Freeze, it's just a letdown. Another thing that bugs me is that his fur textures are clearly mirrored right down the center. It's really apparent when you're looking at his face head-on.

-This isn't about the game itself, but Brawl's Dojo website was a lot better than the Smash 4 website. I liked how it was organized and there were pages for everything.

I'm on the opposite end of that since I don't own a WiiU

And I dont see what you're talking about with peach.

-Smashes art style is a lot more realistic then regular mario games so I understand why they do it but I do agree with you, it'd be nice if they made an alt with peaches regular dress

-Agreed, they managed to make DK goofy in this game, so why not bowser?

-A lot of the voice acting is likely just place holders, I just can't see them keeping them the same aside form a few characters, literally all of sonic's lines are ripped from colours and generations.

-I'm positive they are just placeholders, remember what we have seen are just demos

-A lot of that can just be the result of an unfinished game, the 3DS version looks far more polished and characters like lucina and plautena looks less dead

-100% agreed

-Once again agreed although I'm fairly certain that there's tons of content we have yet to see

-Was the zelda idle animation on the wii u or 3ds version? If wii u only then unfinished.

-100% agreed, so far they just look like a pain in the ass and defeating it doesn't even matter much since the explosion looks fairly easy to dodge, they just get in the way

Are you talking about Skyward Sword? It doesn't look like Smash is glossing over it if you ask me. We got Skyloft and and an alt costume for link. Plenty of other references in terms of items and trophies as well. That's pretty much all the representation I expected. (btw, In my opinion SS has its problems but it's solid and far from terrible, but that's another discussion :D).

...Hopefully you were talking about SS, cuz otherwise I just made a complete fool of myself
You have indeed made a fool of yourself. I was talking about Super Princess Peach haha.

Discrepency between smash and the mainseries games is a nuisance to me as well. Though I don't quite see the difference in Peach. Is it that her dress is too detailed?

As of now, the biggest discrepancy for me is DK. There's just something off about that fur texture and pose. He looks nothing like the way he does in Tropical Freeze. All you guys pointing out issues in clipping & polygon count are clearly much more observant than me. I think it's the fur texture and pose throwing me off, but I'm not sure.

He just looks really bad

Yeah add DK's fur to my list of nitpicks too. There's something that just looks very "messy" about it, and not in a good way.

But as for what I'm saying about Peach, I think it's her face. The Smash face seems a lot thinner, I don't know. The eyes are much smaller too. She just doesn't look right to me in Smash. Then again, maybe it is the dress. I don't know.

When you look at just their faces, you can see a lot of the differences:

Peach's look is certainly leans more towards "realistic" in Smash than in, say, Galaxy. I say "leans towards" because it's still not quite realistic. There's also a lot more detail.

However, I'd also like to add that... how do I put it... Her body language and facial expression aren't quite the same. It's like her personality is a bit different.

I think she looks better in-game than the official art, I dunno, the art and the in-game models look extremely different for a lot of characters

It's really strange, DK appears nothing like in the actual DK games, way too goofy, don't get me wrong I like goofy DK, but this is a little much. Zelda just looks pissed off rather than her normally calm and reserved self and bowser is nowhere near as goofy as he usually is

Peach seems to look a bit older in Smash compared to the Mario series. But that might just be me though. The Mario cast generally seem to be quite different compared to their own universe counterparts imo.....

Waluigi still looks like his model was imported straight from Mario Party DS or Mario & Sonic at the Beijing Olympics. In fact, most returning assist trophies look like garbage.

Except for luigi and I guess rosalina who appears more like her mario kart appearances than galaxy but I guess that still counts

Well it looks like all their models were ripped straight from brawl

Yeah Luigi seems to be more in line to how he is in the Mario & Luigi games and perhaps Luigi's Mansion too. Rosalina does seem to be quite like her Mario Kart appearance I suppose.

Fox's background on the smash website should be green, not blue... and Captain Falcon's should be blue, not purple..

I find it funny how people complain that Zero Suit Samus and Lucina are so expressionless and then go complain about Zelda showing expression.

Peach looks good in this game, I really like her look and dress in Melee (I hold many a Melee things dear) but I am totally fine with her look right now. I kinda like that she looks a bit older in this game.

Does it really count when the only expression she shows is anger? Literally she's either dead or pissed off

I don't know, kinda, maybe. ZSS, Zelda, and Lucina's lack of expression kinda fits their character. It's not like they're the happiest characters in the world. Kinda makes sense for them looking pissed off at times.

Palutena's lack of expression, however, doesn't. She's expressive and happy and emotional and peppy as can be. I hope they give her more smiles and open mouths and such in the final game.

Well gee, wouldn't that be incentive to buy a Wii U then?
>You don't have Wii U.

That's another concern I've had, that if one version didn't exist, then development and resources would've doubled on the one that did. Then, of course, the elitists from both sides would be jumping at my throat now.

- Palutena and Lucina don't look anime enough. That's why they seem kinda lifeless.
- Lucina's Eye of Naga should stand out more.
- Peach looks better in gameplay, but her artwork pose is just weird. Is she floating? What the hell is up with her legs?

-DK's fur
-Ike's weirdly shaped face in some of the screenshots
-Lucina's grumpy face in the 3DS version (I dislike her character, but she's honestly a very pretty character in the games and in the trailer).
-Miis head look off, but that's not really too much of an issue considering how they work.
-Yoshi doesn't have his upright walk, despite having an upright posture, he still walks as if he had Mario (or Luigi, I don't judge) on his back.
-ZSS's boots. They're sooooo not this year.
-Diddy's fur.
-Why the **** is Little Mac so ripped if he's so small?
-Zelda is so emotionless... Oh wait.
-Marth's sword is smaller. How is he supposed to compensate?
-Toon Link's hair looks like clay. It's weird, yo. Also, why doesn't he have the Mirror Shield?
-Mega Man looks a bit too emotionless, but he is a robot so iunno.
-Fox's voice.
-Some of Bowser's attacks should NOT have clenched fists. Who the hell swats the air with their fist?
-Pit doesn't seem as animated as he was in Kid Icarus Uprising.

That's my list based off the website and other things.

Bowser's colors. Alright, this seems extremely unimportant, but hear me out. In the main Mario games, we see Bowser with a peach-colored muzzle, like this:

And in Smash, we see it like that in the 3DS version, and his official artwork:

BUT, in the Wii U version, it's a completely different color, more orange than peach.

It just looks... weird compared to his 3DS form.

Yeah yeah, his muzzle's supposed to be a lighter shade, like his belly. Now that you pointed that out, yeah, I agree. It's a dim orange. It should be lighter than that.

Interesting...
Y'know I never understood that fans of Smash Bros, which is basically the biggest Nintendo fanservice fest, aren't fans of any other games. I mean it's the characters from so many franchises that make the games so great aside from it's fast paced gameplay. Though I doubt that if Smash was still that Dragon King fighters thing like it originally was, that it would be as popular. It's the Nintendo franchises that sell the game.
Sure, you're not forced to like EVERY game, but Wii U has quite the list of quality 1st party games. I never understood how people say they love Smash but have no interest in any other Nintendo games when Smash is a celebration of all the Nintendo games.

Tbh, I'm becoming less and less fond of Peach's 3D design now, but her Smash design is pretty good. Melee was bad, Brawl is dated, but this one actually looks pretty good, and captures her design well.

Well, not counting virtual console titles...

For Mario Fans there's both NSMB Wii U (which is okay) and SM3DW (which is good, but not great IMO). Mario Kart 8 is great, if a spin-off. There's also some cool stuff on the horizon.
For Zelda Fans there's only Windwaker HD, which is an updated version of a game that you probably already have if you're a Zelda fan. Hyrule Warriors will change that, but that's not out for about... another month?
For Pikmin fans there's Pikmin 3.
For Yoshi fans there's the yarn thing, which isn't out yet.
For Kirby fans there's Rainbow Cruise, but that isn't out yet.
For Pokemon fans there's some stuff announced but seemingly not out yet.
For Star Fox fans there's nothing but a blurry picture seen in the background of a direct.
For Mother fans there's not even an empty promise of a sequel.
For Fire Emblem fans there's ... ?
For Metroid fans there's ... ?

So much of the 1st party goodness isn't even out yet.

EDIT: Apparently I was wrong about the Air Ride thing, which makes me wonder where the heck I got that information from, since now I can't find it anywhere. X_X

Fire Emblem does have that FE x SMT thing (if that's ever coming out)
A Metroid game has been said to be in the works.
And I doubt a console Pokemon is gonna be happening soon.
But yes you do have a point. Still, there seems to be a good amount of games coming in the horizon once Smash is out. Get Wii U for Smash and stay for the rest?

I seen found it, and now that found it, it really bothers me. Before I liked her model, I still do, but it's her body shape over all. She's longer and smaller. In Mario her face is bigger with that extra "puff" to her hair and then just look at the arms and the dress.... I still love my Peach though, but nowI see it.

Edit : So pretty much her body features are shaped in Smash to look and seem more realistic.

Smash Run is pretty similar, but I thought I remembered seeing box art. Could've been a hoax though. In fact it probably was.
Haha yep. Definitely a hoax. Man I got excited for nothing. I figured it was unofficially announced in an interview or something.

Only 2 truly hype moments out of all the trailers so far:

All the other trailers pale in comparison to the masterful way these were designed. I probably watched each scene at least 15 times. Smash deserves trailers like these; it's a missed opportunity for hype in all the other trailers...

After watching those 2 trailers, go back and watch WFT's reveal. Not even close.

OY! The Metal Blades bit from Mega Man's trailer was pretty hype too.

Yeah, that's probably the 3rd best trailer. But still, too many trailers are lacking the same level of hype.

Hopefully the Mewtwo/Ridley/K. Rool trailer will make up for it.
