also... brawl is pretty dead... no one really plays it, maybe next year when more incoming freshmen enroll you can play with them? but everyone here is pretty old school and just plays melee or other video games.... shoryuken.com = much better than smashboards...

I'm close to finishing it, I'm at the fight with Wesker and Jill right now. I should really be working on my Thermal Fluids Lab right now....but trolling forums is so much more fun!
Let's get some games in sometime, anything from Soul Calibur to Smash to whatever Street Fighter game. My connection is too crappy to play SF IV online now days.

Once I get RE5 back again, I am gonna go through professional mode. But it's gonna suck for a bit cause both of us are completely out of bullets. I didn't know that Wesker's final battle had a reaction command and if you don't use it you gotta shoot him like a million times. I will have to upgrade some stuff or something.

Gamefaqs is where people found out about dupping, so search on there BOBA. And yeah, LUBBOCK BLOWS!!!!!!

I made enough money to upgrade every gun to the max by dupping rotten eggs for like 20 minutes

actaully i found it out before them andrew... learn to play...
also andrew is really bad at stuff that doesnt include button inputs for fighting... aiming and shooting isnt really his thing.... but maybe if he wasnt so scrub he would play professional mode with me... oh wait...

supyo. Ok, so should we have a melee, brawl, or brawl+melee tourney? I haven't organized one yet this whole year so I figured as goodbye to all you graduating fools I'd throw something. what do you guys want?
I'll be posting fliers and ****. this is going to actually happen! I'll update first post with rules and all of that once we decide what we want to do.
assuming no one responds, I'll just throw a melee+brawl tourney April 11 with standard ruleset, probably in the gates study lounge or something.

Wow, this thread went to hell and is basically dead....
hey fellas, i don't know if yall remember me or not, (i'm the other ryan from the tournament... with blonde hair(that seems to jog most people's memory)) so my friend and i still brawl all of the time, not sure if yall have gotten bored of it, but heres an idea if yall haven't already done it... Why not make a lubbock smash brawl facebook group. sounds gay yes, but its much easier to get around tournaments to those that are in it, and it has a much bigger chance of growing since many smashers don't know about this site or this forum. Anyways just an idea, i'd be happy to make it. On a side note, are yall still holding tournaments?

Adam in either the summer or Fall '09. I graduate in the summer, and I don't think anyone plays smash anymore. Lubbock sucks, and the scene is dead.
Haha, I think everyone in Lubbock had a party when you graduated... Tears of joy are what they cried, no longer did people have to fear leaving their own houses.
@Andrew: What are you going to school to be? ...I think you told me but I forgot.

Just to let you guys know, the Tech Gaming League (TGL) people are still around, so if you wanted to post on TechAnnouncements you could do that Felix. They already had 2 LANs this semester already with 360s and PS3 for SF IV and CoD4 and I usually just play on console because I'm too lazy to bring my PC.
Plus I know both the 2 guys that run TGL, Daniel and Mark so it shouldn't be that big of a problem to talk to them.

April 11 is a bit short notice, plus its Easter weekend which I don't know if that will increase or decrease the number of attendance. I also figuring prepares you could change it to a Friday instead of a Saturday. It will be kind of hard running both Melee and Brawl. Will each one have a separate time or are both going to be played at the same time?
Just give me the word on the final date and call me so I can give you Daniel's number. With enough luck, we could get it in the Animal Food and Science like in the old days and play on their projector, but then again I think Wells has one too.

hmmm well, no one gave any input so I decided to just do both. I posted about having the tourney on the 26th (so over a week ago). it is 2 pages back.
now that you say so I may just make it melee. I dont really want to play brawl but I figured it would draw more people than melee. now that I think about it though I may as well just do melee because thats what I want to do, I dont want to go through the hassle of melee and brawl.
I suppose I'll go fetch the flyers I made tomorrow and swap it out for melee only. as for friday vs saturday, like I said I posted over a week ago and no one posted about time prefrences or anything so I just picked. saturday at 1:30 I dont expect people to be doing much so I figured that would draw a crowd better than late at night, but if you guys would prefer I can do it friday night easily.
so yea I suppose I'll make it melee only. if you guys want a time/date change say so.
