I prefer Battlefield, but I'll play COD whenever I get the chance. Speaking of COD, PS3 or 360 this holiday season.
^^^ This

I would prolly say PS3, but it depends on what your looking for in your console. Who you plan on playing with is also a good thing to consider. (coincidentally I have to give a speech comparing the consoles tomorrow, lol)

PS3 has games, 360 does too. I'm tied between the exclusives. I understand the advantage of Live over PSN, I understand the multiplayer vs single player. I need to decide sometime before Black Friday. Also, did anyone ee the new Mortal Kombat, I watched the gameplay videos and it's too amazing.

Short version:

Live better than PSN, in both online ability and Content (especially Indy games like Super Meatboy and Briad) The Menus and shops are also better organized IMO. The Disadvantage is you have to pay at least 60$ a year (if you like fighters and plan to use the actual controller, be warned the D-pad is horrible and tends to have a mind of its own, so learn to use the control stick or a fighting stick)

PS3 has a decent Library of Downloadable Titles as well. The Game library for disk based games is a more diverse than Xboxs, and games generally look a bit better, but that depends a lot of the developer (Bayonetta for instance both looks and plays a lot better on 360).

Both Consoles get exclusives and Timed Exclusive, but the 360 has a few more (if you count online games and DLC). PS3 also has some great exclusives. IMO PSN invests in better ones than XBL, Excluding Indy games which the XBox is better at, even if you have to search through more cr@p)

If you want My opinion. XBL is worth it if you like shooters or your online experience is worth the 60$ every year. The Indy games alone are worth it, but the games cost 10-15$ so be prepared to spend money.

PS3 has better Exclusives, and PSN is fine and its free, you just have to deal with a slightly less streamlined shop and menus, but its still completely manageable .

Oh, and the Xbox breaks down much more often than PS3, that's mostly the older problems but the new models still suffer to an extent.

Xbox and PS3 make bad games. Nintendo is struggling to remind gamers that games don't have to be pornographic to be good. I miss depth.

If your going to play fighters, you have no reason to get a 360.

If your going to play everything else, you have a lot more reasons to get a 360 over a PS3.

The fact that all of the ones that matter are on PS3, which has an infinitely better controller that comes with the console so you don't have to spend $100 for a stick...

...until that 360 controller is released. Then, the only reason is the fact that PSN is free.

Not that I regret gettin my stick, it was worth the $150.

Heavy Rain.
Vesperia so good. Too bad it gets no publicity.

I haven't played heavy rain, but I've heard about it.

Even still it's just 2 games. People complain about Wii's games but at least when it has a game it's about more than just guns and violence.

Thats the thing though. People do not want to buy a system JUST for 1 or 2 games. When the Wii has good games they are REALLY good. (Smash Bros, Metroid, Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy), but besides those handful of games the Wii has mostly a bunch of trash games. It does not even have average games worth a rent like the PS3 and Xbox.

Actually, I'm starting to think that's not true either. We talk a lot about the super-mainstream games that everyone knows about (like TwilightP,Other M, Brawl, and Galaxy) but I've been researching wii games and it appears that there's a lot of games with some popularity and good reviews that we never talk about: Wario Ware, No More Heroes 1 and 2, Okami, Super Paper Mario, Sin and Punishment, TvC, New SMB, Punch Out, Fire Emblem RD, Monster Hunter Tri, Animal Crossing, and some others. When you couple that with the already popular games that the Wii has, I don't think it's fair to classify it as a "handful."

The real problem with Wii games is pubicity and average appeal. Lots of good Wii games get NO COMMERCIALS AT ALL. Not only that, but the average gamer nowadays is incredibly shallow and won't entertain a game that doesn't have a M rating. They get the Windwaker syndrome where they can't take a game seriously if it doesn't look serious.

Okami is a port of an old ps2 game, but the point is that even with those games in mind there are still WAYYYYYY more quality ps3/xbox games in comparison to the Wii, this includes the non-mainstream games you are talking about. The simple fact of the matter is that the Wii does not have anything makes it better than the other two gaming systems. Most of the better Wii games hardly use the motion sensor that the Wii seems to pride itself on.

Also I totally disagree with your M-Rating comment. While it is true that people buy many m-rated games these days, I think it is totally inaccurate to state that people are LOOKING for m-rated games. There are many popular games series that do quite well that are not m-rated.

this is because the wii motion is pretty much crap. hell, the wii motion+ is pretty much necessary to make it a viable control scheme. that makes it cost more, and then it still is sort of iffy. no one really wants motion, besides casuals.

i read some one talking about it once, and i agreed with them almost 100% on this one point. basically they said, the less you have to do to get your character to do what you want, the better. adding motion makes you have to have to move even more. now of course, dont make the game super easy to where it's beatable by only pressing the a button (lol, new final fantasy) but dont add unnecessary movements to the control scheme.

oh ****, flyro hittin up that freestyle
