Geno is much more worldwide appeal. Ashley is the likliest if any Japan reveal. Or ... could be Lip from Panel De Pon, but I guess Ash is most likely at this point.

On one hand, I understand the feel of ones favourite to be in, so that they can "relax", but I guess that's not a good attitude in general. I think it would be good either way whatever we get. If our favourite get's inn first, that's amazing, but if someone else comes first? So what? I'd be happy either way what we get.

If our favourite get's inn first, that's amazing, but if someone else comes first? So what? I'd be happy either way what we get.

I can't help it. I'm already too hyped to not feel disappointed by every reveal that isn't Ash. And I don't blame any fan for feeling the same with their favorite. However, I'll definitely stay respectful in every other regard. It won't be difficult for me to not knock on a character for getting in or their fans.

I don't think it's so much that Japan hates Ridley. There was Genuine Hype around him when he was revealed. He just more a character they don't particularly request often.

Y'know, I didn't want to say this earlier, but seeing that we're the only newcomer thread who actually anticipate something will come out of this tournament, that's probably what sets this thread apart from others. That almost naïve sense of hope is pretty endearing and I've enjoyed seeing it on display here. I expected nothing and wasn't even going to watch the stream, but seeing you all blast my alerts over this got me super hyped for what will probably be just a tennis tournament.

Yup, tbh I probably would have gotten bored watching the stream by myself, but having all y’all here makes it a much more enjoyable experience.

There's also that. Ashley being relevant with a new game, being a Japanese darling, and technically being a Mario character all add fuel to the fire. WW Gold probably has a lot to with our recent growth actually.
