Laugh at me for saying it, but what about Rayman?

He'd offer a whole new kind of character to the game, I mean, how many fighting characters can you see making it into brawl who don't have limbs?

he's been on the game boy, on gamecube, on wii, I mean, so long as they take his gameboy moves, he really wouldn't be a bad character.

I'm not so sure there will be any more third party franchises at all. I'm leaning towards no because I'm thinking they would have revealed the character already, just like Sonic and Snake. Plus, the whole thing about them not contacting Mega Man's creator.

Starfox has never been in a Rare game...DK was created by Nintendo years before DKC and DK64.

Star Fox Adventures, the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, Donkey Kong 64, and Diddy Kong Racing were all developed by Rare:nerd:

I still wonder if we're actually getting three. Sakurai said MAYBE 1 or 2 more. He didn't say he was 100% getting three.

We could get another third-party, we could get two more, we could get no more. We just need to wait and see.

But if we do only get one more...well my sig already says it, but Geno is highest on my list, just because SMRPG basically kept me playing video games after the NES.

But hey, anyone else is fine. Mega, Bomberman, Ryu, Rayman, Sora, Simon Belmont, I'm fine with them all. Except Pac-Man. He's cool and all, but I just...can't see him beating up Mario and Samus

But if Sakurai wants him in, and Namco wants him in, he'll get in.

For Capcom I personally would rather have Ken, however, Ryu is more popular and would also be fine.

But whenever I play SF I use Ken :D

Well IGN seems to know there will be more:

Assuming there is another 3rd party, I think we can rule any Capcom character out. I know that upsets a lot of people, but the creator of Megaman basically said that Megaman isn't in the game. I can't see any Capcom character being in if Megaman's not. Other than that, it could be pretty much anybody. If I had to take a guess, I'd say Bomberman, or another Sega character.

I highly doubt it, the fact that several companies actually like this game and have the ability to actually participate in it. I am pretty sure there are 1 or more 3rd party franchises left.

Why would they put in Viewtiful Joe over Megaman? That's like putting in Nights instead of Sonic. It makes no sense.

One character that isn't mentioned enough is Rayman. His games do really well on Wii.

Ryu would be the greatest WTF 3rd Party, since NO one expects him. Everyone always rules him out, and I'm not sure why. He's Capcom's second mascot (Megaman is obviously the first), and the protagonist of the most storied fighting games that started them all, Street Fighter (and DON'T say Joy Mecha Fight...just b/c it came out first). However, if Megaman got in over Ryu, I'd still be pretty happy. Although, Bomberman is still my top 3rd party pick for Brawl (and NO, I do not count Geno as a 3rd Party).

My ideas for top 3 reps from each company:

Capcom: Megaman, Ryu, Viewtiful Joe
Namco: Pac-Man, Klonoa, a Tekken or Soul Calibur character (Yoshimitsu would be pure win :D)
Hudson: Bomberman, Bonk, ... (I can't think of a 3rd one)
Square (not including Geno): Black Mage, Sora, a Mog or a Chocobo (Cloud just wouldn't be good for Brawl...EVERYONE would play as him)
Ubisoft: Rayman, a Rabbid, ... (I can't think of a 3rd one)

If the next Bionic Commando game does come out on Wii (which is possible, if you sign a certain petition), then Nathan Spencer is entrely possible

Plus, there's a poll on the Bionic Commando website for what you think the big Bionic Commando-related Megaton bomb will be; Two of the options are BC coming to Wii and Nathan in Brawl

Not to be completely off topic...but...
Doesn't Capcom own the rights to Rockman? If so, they wouldn't need to tell Inafune about his inclusion in Brawl, right? Or am I completely wrong?

Also wanted to point out that Inafune had no involvement of Rockman X6 or Rockman X: Command Misson, so that should give some hope to those who want Rockman in.

I say let Bomberman have a chance! He's a staple with all things Hudson and Nintendo! As for a third Hudson Character, I could think of Master Higgins from the Adventure Island series.

But getting back to Bomberman, maybe using Brawl to hype up Bomberman WFC (WiiWare Title) could be a good idea, and quite possibly, get some anime company like FUNimation to dub Bomberman Jetters! I just finished watching the show on Youtube, and it was amazing!
