I only want to see it if they do it for the money. And wtf at the 30 dollor main match and then 3 dollar low tier. That's an insult to low tiers and I'd take offense if I still used a character that sucked. lolz

And if you didn't do the panel seriously then I don't mind cause then it has no real meaning. But you can understand my point that if you did have a serious panel and excluded me that I would feel irked.

you're wrong. being able to consistently beat someone proves you're better than them. that's kinda the definition.

could go back to melee and continue ****** but theres no point because im already the best.

you're only the best if you can defend your title. in wrestling, they always say "to be the man, you got to beat the man." not "well, even if you beat the man then it doesn't really matter because he got lazy, but if he tried really hard to get back into shape then he could still probably beat you."

i'm not saying shoyo is better than tom because it's not really fair to base things off of one night only. but potential or past achievements don't really mean anything. in order to be the best, you have to win. it's that simple.

Whoever uses the toppest characters/ weapons in a game cannot be considered the "best", in my opinion.
Even though, you know, ken wins tourneys and stuff, but he uses top guys. It's like me winning all my boxing matches with a gun. It ain't no thang.

Yeah that was me. You don't have to worry bout hurting my feelings. If you wanna know something just go ahead and ask. I've recieved so many ******** flames and noob @$$ remarks that nothing would throw me at this point.

Oh man the first night in San Fran was WICKED ********!!! The street noise is so loud. And we got it all. Ambulances, Fire trucks, Police Chases, Random Drunks and Stoners and Construction. My back is all sore now.

Eric is coming today. ^.^ Can't wait to record some new matches.

Ya I didn't really get that either. The comparison doesn't even make sense. (although I'm not sure if Dexter was really trying to compare for reals.) I mean like...guns and lasers?

And yeah the champions always get the most crap cause they never lose and people want to see them lose for one reason or another. Probably cause it gets old when same person wins over and over with no competition. (eg After Azen, Isai, and Neo gave up serious tournament play.) Well , Isai never quit tournaments but y'know. lolz Then when PC and KDJ beat Ken/Azen returned people were happy. Then M2K went Marth and got all godly with him and then add in Mango to the mix and well you get my point.

top tier (fox falco marth or w/e) in respect to boxing are like someone using gloves with hidden spikes or something of that advantageous sort that would simply make the opponent 'fcuked'. or like a lightweight guy with heavyweight attributes?. *shrug*

i think using low tiers is cool but that's another way to giving away your chances of winning. don't hate on better characters for because they are better, you can use them too. don't restrict yourself, that's not too healthy.

back to the tournament. it was really awesome seeing couple hundreds of people gathering in a big ball room playing games. now that's how a tournament should look like.

tom and felix had to play gene and rhodney at the first round. the match was really tight. gene's team was double wolf vs tom's falco and felix's pit. tom won the first one 1-0. then they both switch to marth/zelda (tom) vs marth/wolf (gene) and it ended up 1-1. gene and rhodney won the third one and tom's officially out in the first round.

then chad and rob just *****.

and merc and i had a free win because our opponent didn't show up. yayuhhhhz.

the waipahu ***** the second round also. my match was against a pikachu and bowser, we got to the third game but it wasn't that hard for us. 2-1.

on the third round there are only 6 teams left, i am guessing it's the semi final. we are very lucky that us friends don't have to play each other. this set is really close too. i SD once on game one which cost the game. on game two we ***** them both at the same time. the third match was really intense, i was very nervous and i had to **** talk to balance myself out. in the end there were only me and one opponent left, down to our last stocks, and with both over 120%. then i lost to rob's dsmash. 1-2 and we are out.

we are top 6 out of about 30 teams.

i felt really guilty for bring the team down but merc just kept encouraging me. i really appreciated that. i learned a lot from this tournament and merc.

i am gonna back down from brawl for a while until there's another tournament.

Using a top tier doesn't automatically make you better. It's just that you have advantages over some match ups.

tournament was hella crazy. hundreds of people packed in one room huge room with a bunch of tvs and video games, reminded me of oc series.

felix and i beat a team (forgot which characters) 2-0 in the first round. then we had to vs eugene and rhod (the winners of todays tournament) and lost. i am slightly disappointed but no johns.

merc and terence lost against the robot/wario team then went home right after (boo)

eugene felt really bad for felix and i because all he and rhodney did was play smart as double wolf and camp the **** out of us and everyone else they challenged. but dont worry gene, keep your money, felix and i made the whole day worthwhile. after the tournament we went to ala moana to check out all the asian girls, even though there were quite a few good looking girls at the tournament already

even though felix and i got eliminated in only the second round, we ****ing DOMINATED everyone in teams and singles on the friendlies right after with no losses at all. felix and i made a name for livewire again even though we didnt win the tourney. im not saying "we should have won because of this", we just did really good on the friendlies. eugene felt like we should have won but whatever thats just how it goes man, i should have known better that someone was going to abuse the friendly fire setting lol

special guest scotty made an appearance to watch the finals. him and everyone else were wondering why we werent in the tournament. all i had to say was "everyone is getting ***** by two wolves, friendly fire off"

chad & rob, eugene & rhod, and the wario/robot team had to do round robins then only two teams were left. the finals werent really close with about a 2-3 stock lead. grats to team sandbox (gene and rhod)

all in all it was a great day and had fun with the tournament. **** talking in brawl/gaylo 3, friendlies, meeting knew people, the mall, terence and merc shouldnt have left.

Hung out with Eric (cubaisdeath) for about 10 hours today. He's just the coolest guy. Such a great thing to have friends like him on the mainland. He's definitely gonna try to make the tournament in the summer. :]

The matches we played were very cool. They'll be up within the hour. May the next 2 days pass quickly.

And I can't wait for the next tournament. I'm never gonna miss another. Sugi wa Katsu!!! Zettttaiiii Katsu!!!

what im saying is that the veterans of melee that have contributed to the smash community have moved forward on to brawl (jose, bobby, myself, etc.)

man i just played a lot of melee with joel today after the brawl tourney. it feels so good to play on it and taking a small break from brawl at the same time.

anyway, i am a bit upset about shoyo's attitude. now that tom declared his retirement. shoyo can be the best smash player in hawaii. i see shoyo as ken, good player but gets a lot of hate, and tom as isai, good player and gets lot of love. gene was right about how a good player is recognize by the crowd but not him/herself. we do recognize shoyo as a really good player. even though you are the best player in hawaii. but you never and still not reach tom's level of being good, in wrestling, i think you can be the heavyweight champion but you never got it 16 times. therefore you aren't like a living legend like tom. plus forcing people to say you are the best and all that isn't so nice. that's all i am gonna say. i am tired of this **** too.

and to the rob/wario team, i am sorry for talking **** during the matches. i didn't know you guys go to this forum. lol.
