maybe we could do some last day training before you leave. but it's all up to joel or tom to open the house. i could even come over to yours bobby if your parents are okay with it. but we can stay in for a lot longer if we play at joel's, since he is such a cool guy and i am a night person too.
idiot.

Oh I think Joel's house sounds super! What time eh? I'll bring dinner. :]
i dunno, but it should be ok. gimme a call when y'all decide. also, no more then 4 people (including me) so i think only 1 other person.

I can smash after dodgeball I think. I know they're going Karaoke afterwards but I probably won't go to that. They'll probably get done with dodge ball around 6ish. But depending on how early I get there I may not stay for the whole 4 hours. Lemme know if that's good with you.

Pikmin and Captain Olimar confirmed for Brawl.

Thanks Joel once again. I am in your debt.

Thanks Terence for all of your support and stuff. I appreciate it.

Thanks Shoyo for always playing the way you do. It keeps things in perspective.

Forgive my banter tonight. I was tired/headache/hungry etc. But whatever **** is ****. I was moving very slow today. Down right sad.

I need to sleep and focus. Bye.

You're right. I will play the only way I know how. And I will do Hawaii proud. Represent JGC.

Flight leaves in 4 hours. I'm out!!! Check back here tonight or myspace for updates.

do what you gotta do. i personally prefer a more aggressive approach in a tourney instead of just standing there waiting for something to happen because of the adrenaline and excitement. thats probably how i 4 stocked that sheik and tore up the 2 jiggs in my pool

oh and good luck

reaction time. that's all it matters. but don't get stuck to how WE play. always study their habits and ****.
it's not reaction, it's more a combination of conditioning and knowing about the game. which means it's more about playing smart than anything else. BS has great reactions, and he's really good, but people with slower reaction times than him still beat him.

to say "it's all about reaction" and then "study" doesn't really make sense. it would be like telling a musician "improvise a piece that you already memorized."

for example, noobs don't fall for shoyo's run past to fsmash as much as non-noobs. i think that's also why you can hit people with really random/slow moves if you're laser spamming; because they don't "see" what you're doing because they have to react to it.

it's still reaction time. well i am not saying bobby is a noob that doesn't know how to combo. reaction time is still the main factor of you doing good or not.

you're wrong. reactions are only important in situations that people aren't familiar with. people DI through conditioning, not through reacting. if conditioning wasn't necessary than people would either be able to DI correctly after playing for 5 minutes, or never at all.

same with basically any other component of the game. most of what happens is either guessing what the other person is going to do, or punishing lag.

what you're saying would only be true if lag wasn't important, but all moves (even jumps, for example) have lag.

then reaction time applies to all the things bobby has never seen before from other pros at the dan 2. what i was saying was having the ability to adapt things quickly is important. i am ignoring the fact that practicing your tech skill and stuff is important because you can't do those things in tournaments. it's for real.

i kinda get what you both are saying but exactly what kind of reaction time are you talking about? offensive? starting a combo getting attacks in one right after another? in the air? on the ground? on the ledge? defensive? reading rolls and techs? the ability to di to survive?

reaction time. that's all it matters.
maybe i misunderstood what you meant, because to me these two contradict each other.

anyway, i think that if you're tired and start to play worse, it's not that you react slower but that you make poor decisions because you can't focus as well.

Nice talk going. Tom it's everything in general, I believe
"it's not reaction, it's more a combination of conditioning and knowing about the game. which means it's more about playing smart than anything else."
"reactions are only important in situations that people aren't familiar with."
Those two sum it up

i see. reaction could technically mean any response. so you could say "i reacted to getting poked by sweetspotting the ledge."

reaction time, however, deals with the time it takes between when your eye sees something, your mind processes it, and your hand reacts.

well playing with tom, shoyo or nick seems to increase your reaction time by a lot, for me at least. and it's pretty much the whole point getting ***** by them and feel like **** but afterwards you "reborn" with way faster reflexes.

I'm almost home guys. I have over 60 gigs of smash matches on my imovie. Who wants to see um? ;)

DJ combo, Silent Wolf, Eggz, Bladewise and Jumpfreak are all very cool people. They have been so helpful to me and so selfless with housing, driving, and buying food.

Other cool smashers include
Aftermath, Emo$, all the Canadians, Chexr, Aarosmashguy, Fluxwolf, Balloon, and Cubaisdeath are the coolest people I've ever met.

I placed 33rd. Sup lawls.

I placed 3rd in my pools with a score of 7-3. I split with Genesis and Jumpfreak and some gay fox player(i kinda didn't care at that point cause i was obviously gonna clear pools by that time) 1-1 and 2-0 everyone else.

My first person in the brackets was Silent Wolf and then Die slow in the losers. I actually took Dieslow to 3 games so that was cool. lolz

By the way Merc is back. I'm gonna catch up with him tonight. Who wants to see the footage of the tournament and stuff in high definition? Hehehe.

i've watched a couple of vids bobby put up. you did prett good against those pros. it really gets me thinking if shoyo and tom our tops players go up there, would us make a huge impact? i seriously think we stand a chance.
