I'm not normally one to nag, but @ Raheem The Dream Raheem The Dream , these people are right. Intentionally suggestive pictures like that fan flames in the wrong parts of the fandom.

I'm not telling you to stop posting art or videos, but please keep it tasteful and clean.
Look, I didn't do anything harmful to effect anybody about this, but do y'all want me to change by editing the picture that I've posted yesterday? P.S: Everybody, I'm very sorry for I've done sometimes either it's right or wrong!

Well, what's done is done, we just like to calm it down with the fan service pictures. Although it's nice and all, we should think more for who she is as character than just her appearance, as she has much more going on than just "looking attractive". It's great to share, but let's be more conservative with the blatant fan service/ suggested imagery, just to make things more "user friendly" around here.

It's ok, just let's calm down withe those kinds of imagery of Shantae for now, huh? :)

Thx, @ SuperSegaSonicSS SuperSegaSonicSS ! I appreciate your kindness about this being extremely careful about not making Shantae's personal characteristics being too sexual content ect. But, to prove my apology! Here's the appropriate picture to set this situation straight and never put anything sexy content! P.S: I'm still gaining more Shantae supporters on my Shantae Community Club on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Shan...sh-4-3DSWii-U-version/769600476420657?fref=nf and oh snap Shantae got 300 likes just now! #ShantaeForSmash

Right behind you.
That's more like it. Sorry for getting on your case, it's just that I thought we were trying to prove that Shantae has more potential to be in Smash than just blatant sex appeal, so seeing blatant sex appeal in the thread angers me a bit.

Anyway, water under the bridge. Have this cool character mod someone did for Dynasty Warriors:

Yeah, water under the bridge! I didn't mean to anger you, @ SL the Pyro SL the Pyro ! But, I finally understand of not trying to hurt our precious Shantae's chances being a New playable DLC female fighter confirmed in Super Smash Bros. 4 3DS/Wii U versions! Otherwise, haters who bound to H-A-T-E on Shantae and especially they shall rekt up, lie and giving bad examples about Shantae's chances in SMASH BROS in our personal precious time of needs for peace's sakes! Well guys; Seems like Shantae's the most requested character to be Smashified based on the Twitter post, with Krystal and Phoenix Wright behind her. However, I think Shantae has higher priority for the Smashified team, if I had to be honest, before those guys.

Well guys, it appears Krystal is actually in the lead, with Shantae behind Krystal. I really hope they still do Shantae before Krystal. Maybe they'll do both? It's all, but a mystery.

The thing is, I am saying Krystal is in the lead because of the amount of comments I counted up that mentioned somebody wanting her Smashified, with 29 people wanting her compared to 19 people wanting Shantae, based off only the Twitter post Smashified did asking who people wanted to see get Smashified next. Now, I could very well be wrong in saying how they will choose the next character (maybe Shantae will be chosen as higher priority due to her not really having a 3D Model, besides the one fan made Smashified of course). The fact Krystal has a 3D Model in general or has appeared in 3D, while Shantae does not have an official 3D Model, may mean that she is higher priority over Krystal (maybe she can be after Shantae?)

Hmm... I wonder where that wall went? I hope I didn't let it get "too" buried XD

Gonna have to go find it...

Edit: Well after several minutes of digging through the thread I finally found it:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Shantae is too obscure"

This "obscurity" so many contractors bring up is very unjustified.. Her obscurity in the industry can primarily be singled out to just bad luck. Her first
game, "Shantae" (2002), was for the gameboy color... As you might notice by the year, this was near the end of the handhelds life. This caused Shantae
to see a limited release.. A shame for such a good game (and later for such a good series). The poor girl unfortunately wouldn't see a sequel for eight
years because of all this.. Risky's Revenge, in 2010. Many other Shantae fans will agree with me she deserves much more exposure in the industry, and will
agree they are happy they stumbled upon the series.

"Shantae is an indie character! Theres no way she could get in!"

This may be so by today's standards, but she hardly feels indie when you look at her games...

Shantae = Gameboy Color 2002
Shantae: Risky's Revenge = DSiWare (Also had ports for iOS and Steam later, but still..) 2010
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse = Wii U AND 3DS 2014
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero = Wii U (Still in development)

Notice any pattern here? 99% of the games are on Nintendo consoles.. (Save for Risky's Revenge, and even those were just later ports)
Awfully loyal for an indie character.. (Heck some could even go as far to call her First Party Indie at this point). She is much more than
"just an indie character". She has been with Nintendo for a very long time, has a lot of history with them, and has been very loyal.

To add to this, look at the characters like Ness, the Fire Emblem Characters, and Ice Climbers.

Ness was from a game with a cult classic, not too different from Shantae, that deserved much more exposure than it did. The difference? The fact Ness
was present in the first game, and being in the original twelve, his series has always been prominent throughout the Smash series... and my, look at the
good it has done. Earthbound was able to get that recognition it deserved. From seeing Ness (and later Lucas) in the series, many grew curious about it, and
either got the game, or did research.. Thanks to Smash bros, many have gotten to experience the humorous cult classic that is Earthbound.

To go even further, look at the Fire Emblem series. As you know, Marth and Roy had their starts in Melee.... but that wasn't always going to be the case.
Sakurai was initially afraid of releasing the two characters outside of japan to the western base. As you see, the Fire Emblem series was still Japan only
at the time, and he was afraid it would alienate the Western base. Luckily, Sakurai decided to put them in anyway.... and what a great decision it was.
It sparked interest in the series, and the two characters started to obtain a fan following in the west... prompting the release of the Fire Emblem series
internationally, and making it the big series it is today. The same thing could happen for Shantae actually. Her games aren't present in Japan.. So, her
inclusion in Smash could very well have the same effect for her that it did for Fire Emblem

As one last argument against "obscurity", look at many of the classic characters that have made it into the game. Pit, G & W, and Ice Climbers to name
a few. Pit had only had to classic games under his belt... and had disappeared from the industry for years. After his comeback in brawl however, he finally
saw a new title, and thus, his fanbase grew immensely. The younger generations probably wouldn't even know what a Game and Watch is.. if it hadn't have
been for Mr. Game and Watch showing up in Smash. The ice climbers were even MORE obscure. I doubt all that many even knew who these guys were. (Heck,
not even I knew who they were until I played Melee). So, Obscurity isn't an argument here, when it comes to newcomers.

"Shantae is an indie/3rd Party character! They would have to jump through too many hoops, and deal with too much licensing issues to get her in."

Thats not valid any longer. Wayforward, the company that produces the Shantae games, is ALL FOR her presence in smash. Don't believe me? Check this
out: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1236620800/shantae-half-genie-hero/posts/1187315

Seems like it wouldn't be an issue to me... they even made possible alternate costumes she could use.

"What would she do? She hardly seems like she would bring much to the game."

Hardly true. Her games provide her with many options for a unique and effective moveset. From her transformation abilities, to the Pirate gear
she had access to in Pirate's Curse.. She even has access to magic.

"When do you hear people talking about wanting Shantae be in the game before the Fighter Ballot was announced."

Same thing could be said for a lot of characters... The support and desire for these characters has always been there.. the ballot just caused
it to boil to the surface.

"Shantae doesn't have any releases in Japan!"

Look back to the Melee Fire Emblem case, and just picture that in reverse.

Also, there are Shantae Japanese fans who know of her games, and their is a demand from them wanting the games to be localized in Japan,
so, if Shantae made it into the game, Just like what happened with Fire Emblem, she would have a high chance to be localized in Japan.

Here is one fan for example: https://twitter.com/hounori

It is also worth noting that "intergrow games" is going to be working on localizing Risky's Revenge in Japan.

This information was obtained from a tweet, translated by PushDustin!
https://twitter.com/intergrow/status/531718513992286210

Here's his translation:

"intergrow: October 16th, 2013: Good morning everyone. We are the team at Intergrow games. It's on the top page but, we will handle the release of the localization behind Shantae: Risky's Revenge and Mighty Switch Force!

Ketnolimit: November 7th: Mighty Switch Force has been distributed, but what happened with Shantae? Did the plan fall through?

intergrow: November 10th, 2014: Sorry to keep you waiting. The Japanese localization of Shantae will not be distributed via DSI Ware, but instead has been moved to the 3DS e-Shop. I think we will release more information about it next year, so please wait a little long!"

"Shantae is a western character/was made by a western dev"

The character Little Mac, despite being created in Japan, is still primarily a western character. Another argument we see thrown is the Shovel Knight argument..
Shantae came earlier than Shovel Knight, has more titles, and is far more dedicated to Nintendo than he is.

"According to <insert unofficial poll/research here>, Shantae's chances are low/She has no chance."

Whether support for a particular character is greater than or equal to Shantae depends on the community. For example, while there may be more support for Shovel Knight in say, Reddit,
in 8chan there is more support for Shantae. Polls and research are subjective. Many of them only take into account a small portion of the Smash community.
(For example the Reddit polls take into account areas from reddit, but other areas, like 4chan, 8chan, nor Smashboards are.) There is no way possible to
get a full take on what the Smash community's take is on any particular character

Hey Manic, you should add my post of Shantae possibly getting localized in Japan.

Hey guys I asked PushDustln to translate this tweet and he was kind enough to do it.
https://twitter.com/intergrow/status/531718513992286210

Here's his translation:

Ah excellent. I'll add that bit to the "Not localized in japan" Argument deflection :p

Edit: Added it to the wall in my previous post.

Anyways.. Interesting how much that tweet has been spread XD

Not really a way we would want (or even expected) to go about it, but at least it gets Shantae noticed... I mean it will certainly bring up a lot of "wait who is this?.. I need to do some research.." scenarios. It also generates some hype. This is sorta like that fake Rayman leak, except minus the cool art, and with more squawks.. lol

What I'd give for this to happen for Bandana Dee....
But that's just my character priority.

So it looks like Shantae is more than likely going to be the next Smashified character. Looking forward to it!

Interesting about those Amiibo Treasures rumors. All I saw in my search is Treasure Tracker's Amiibo compatibility.

Actually I wanted Shantae in Smash, and was on about that before the smash ballot, but what is one voice in the grand scheme of things? But you bet, once the smash ballot hit, I immediately went to work on my vote.

Believe it or not, I actually found people who were talking about having Shantae for Smash before the ballot. So we did have a lot of Shantae supporters a while back. :b:

I knew of some before as well, before or during earlier Smash 4 speculation.

It was one forum page that said something that people asked how would Wayforward think of Shantae in Smash Bros, and they said "It's up to Sakurai, as we'd love her in Smash".

I remember that. That was back in 2013, I believe? Or early 2014. But I do remember someone sending an email to Wayforward about Shantae in Smash Bros. And I think it'll be an awesome idea, especially since she was born in the nintendo world, since her first game was exclusive to the GBC, before she became 3rd party.
