Dude, I doubt you even know what irony means...

That is very debateable.

Yeah, because popularity determines truthfulness. :/

My IQ is vastly superior to yours so stop getting in these petty squabbles with me. I will gracefully accept criticism if it is thought out and somewhat constructive.
Oh gawd. Please. Thought out and somewhat constructive? Is that what you think your posts are?

You're hardly offering an opinion yourself; all you seem to be doing is making other people angry, and starting flame wars. Regardless of how narcissistic you are, or how much better your grammar is than the rest of the board, or how much you think your completely ungrounded opinion is totally right based on your dislike of a character(seriously, no one has played Brawl before, how can you know how good Olimar is?) you are a complete *******.

That's my analysis of your posts. I hope it was well thought out and somewhat constructive to your character.

Anyway, I'm equally glad that we're beginning to get updates that are somewhat interesting, although I think it's a bit late. Brawl is almost out, after all. We'll get a huge "update" from the Japanese in a little more than a week.

I liked the "Pikman and Olimar" update because Sakurai gave no signs what-so-ever about Olimar being in Brawl and just like "that" reveals he's a playable character. This leads me to believe that there will be other such characters that will throw us off guard, or atleast I'm hoping.

That said I HIGHLY doubt we will get anymore characters until launch. if you look at how the characters were arranged on the dojo before Olimar there was 1 spot left open. Now that it's filled and so are the veteran's slots I don't see anymore character updates though I hope I'm completely wrong.

I think that they wanted to start the year on a good note and revealed Pikmin & Olimer. It also might tide people over until its release in japan

I don't you guys, but these good updates make me believe that the DOJO!!! won't be open after the Japanese release.

How 'bout you give me facts of why Olimar doesn't fit in Brawl?

Oh no, I'm Sorry, i didn't know. I-i will never speak to you again, please forgive me.

Edit:

"so your telling me they didnt need to do any programming to put him in brawl wow thats cool :D"

No. However, comparing him to Megaman and saying that thei "spent time" getting him, does imply that you meant "aquiring" the rights for the character, but if that's not what you mean, then ok. My bad.
all i ment was the tmie they spent putting him in the game could have been spent doign something more acceptable imo (this is all imo not fact or anything so dont gett all bishy on me)

i only comapared him to megaman in spacific because he is the mani char i wuold like to see in Brawl right now...but if i had to go with a nintendo char hmm...none actually in truthfulenss Melee's roaster had me content but Pit i like and is allready in so hehe

Personally i liked all the update till now gave us an idea of the different extras they've included in Brawl i don't think a good update has to be about a character which from what i've seen is the general consensus in this spot. I like learning new things about the game e.g. the coin launcher and returning melee stages i think showing new characters takes away from the initial shock of unlocking them yourself. And with 12 new characters already shown it makes me question how man more new characters we'll actually get if the number is small then then i think revealing most of the new characters will make for a disappointment in the end. But with that being said they still could have lots of new characters so we'll have to just wait and see.

You're hardly offering an opinion yourself
I thought it was kind of funny, mostly because I agree with him. He just said he didn't think Olimar fit in Brawl well and got jumped on for it. I also think that the points made were pretty ridiculous. Captain Falcon, not having anything to do with fighting? I guess character backstory means absolutely nothing in the world of Smash, considering that would be the EXACT as saying Samus does not anything to do with fighting (both are bounty hunters).

It has nothing to do with moveset though, and it's not that I feel Olimar "shouldn't" be in Brawl. He's just not a character I am a fan of and I doubt you are going to change my opinion there. Just because he isn't the character that made me go "OH MY GOD, YESSSSSSSS" and have a nerdgasm does not mean that you have to try to bash me and "prove me wrong." The guy stated his opinion, let people think what they want...

On topic, the fact we are getting red icons on the top right corner in general is great. I mean, there are not all that many special moves and Final Smashes left to show (several, but not a ton). I said in a topic a couple of days ago that we would see a lot more than we had in the past, and it might be starting already.

The only reason peoplein general were pleased by this week was because of Olimar.

A week's worth of updates to a lot of you people sucks no matter what unless a character announcement is part of it.

As for me, this whole week in general has been good, and better than previous weeks (even though it hasn't been nearly as bad in the past month as people have been making it out to be). Five more Melee Stages confirmed for the game (solid choices, too), the return of Multi-Man Brawl with four Alloys to fight and an online mode, Olimar, Snake's awesome/very fitting FS, and finally Olimar's mindbogglingly unique moveset.

The amount of content both seen with the naked eye and hidden between the lines this week has been impressive. If I were to score the week like the guys at SMYN do, I'd probably give it a 9/10.

This uplifting does me wonder if they stretched the supposed November month out three months or that they just moved it to January. People seem to only determine brawl's worth by the the character updates which is sad (we got many great game mode updates which really were facinating.

Btw the dojo will last until Sakurai has revealed every secret, it will be up even after Japan's release.

Eh... these updates are "good" because they're new stuff. And we are all entitled to our own opinions so your idea of a "good" update depends on the person.

Olimar looks to be one of the most unique fighters in the game at this point. He looks like a cool character to me. Stop hating Olimar cause Megaman or w/e char. you wanted isn't in.

Checking every character for weaknesses, for &quot
Olimar is out of place, I actually liked Pikmin. He is not a fighter and has no place in a fighting game other than as a punching bag.
The pikmen games are kinda strategic, which is good considering his character in brawl is so strategic with pikmen, he'll be a good character.

You could also say Ic are usually puching bags, but they turned into fighters

Seems good to, at least people stopped making topics about "Stop with all the lame updates."

Like always, we're lucky to get so much updates at all.

New character updates are always nice to see.

I thought that Dedede was the last starting character until we got Olimar. Hopefully we'll get another 1 or 2 characters before the 24th.

I'm happy the good updates are back. I was getting tired of worthless things that we already knew of.

And as for Olimar's inclusion and his information, I'm not mad about it. I actually liked it. I'm not going to use him; I even think that he will be the new punching bag of Brawl, but to me, something like this is better than, "You Must Recover!" and Sonic's Final Smash (that everybody already knew!!).

Sakurai had to have given us good updates around this time because it's coming out in only about 2 more weeks for Japan. So why not get everyone psyched?

Only to be replaced with a thousand "zomg NEW LEAK!" topics. Oh well. At least I won't be so bored that I'll have to look to "prophets" for brawl stuff.

Well unlockables have been revealed in dojo already. So I guess the starting guys have already been revealed, and the others once every week. We get a new char every week.

Now listen dude, you really need to tone this down. these are just people arguing with you, now need to be a snob, and besides just wait until good ol' Captain Olimar WIPES THE FLOOR WITH YOU.
