Because Melee was definitely made for tournament. There's no way casual players can play. Those guys suck.

Shut up elitist. Sure I usually play what you would consider the "correct way" but a 4 player FFA with all Pokeballs is always fun.

isnt there only one way? when my friends and i plug in our four controllers and turn up the hammer drop frequency to very high and start a game, it is already set to a 2 min time limit. is there some way to change this???

There are to many "tourney***s" that ruin the excitement of the game because all they do talk about is playing Smash for money, and waste forum space whining about more than half of the features in the game, while refusing to acknowledge the existence of playerbases other than themselves.

I do see what you did there, and it is equally wrong.

I don't think he is going to respond to this, or he even sees what is wrong with what he did.

Besides, if only tournament players bought the game, it is very unlikely we would have gotten past the 64 addition.

1-People play the game the way they want to and that doesnt make them any less important

2-Why do you hate people that play ffa on temple? They want to play it that way

3-People, dont answer to this thread anymore.that way no one has to see it

4-If you dont like these forums, Why are you even Here?

5-There should be a rule against these threads. There pointless, stupid and dont have Anything to do with smash(Brawl).Remember these are the brawl forums.Not tear up casuals forum

6-I havent been to a smash tourney(yet) but I practice every day like crazy so that when i do go, I win(Even do its unlikely).Thing is sometimes you get bored of the same thing over and over again.

7-Why the hell are you b****ing about something as incredibly stupid as this!!

Intolerance is everywhere. Whether we're talking about public schools, basketball, the military, religious groups, or smash, there are people like YoshiBomb here who feel that the only way, the only correct way, is their way.

Before this thread is closed, I want to say that while I support the right which allows you to make such statements, I strongly disagree with your closed-minded attitude. Super Smash Brothers is a game, and should be treated as such. If one chooses to play it casually, as you would play any other game, such as Mario Kart or Solitare or Scrabble, that's fine. If another person chooses to tackle the game head-on and make it more than a game, and get involved in competition, that's fine too.

Play the game like you want to play the game, and keep your intolerance away from me.

Well, I entirely disagree with the methodology of the OP's post.

But a lot of the newcomers to the forum are extremely annoying, if only because very few of them seem to have read the rules. It's not pleasant to see hundreds of repeat threads, or meaningless ones, that serve no purpose, other than to complain, or ask for futile opinions.

Although I do not complain about lack of knowledge, only ignorance of it.

EDIT: And I apologise for bumping this thread. I technically spammed, broke the rules, and brought a pointless thread back to the top of the page. Good going *punches self*.
