Smash Journeyman
Pokemon is a huge, major series. The games are always hot (as in popular, not always good) and it continues to be. A real-time version of the game would be seriously beyond awesome, best-seller. It would create a lot of hype, but to change the gameplay genre completely would be a disgrace to the series. The gameplay has always been RPG and strategy based, a slowed down pace. Pokemon Snap is probably just one of the few spinoffs that are an exception. Even though I would anticipate games like that, i also do not because it would disrupt how Pokemon was always played. The next gens are highly unlikely to change how the game is played. The next gens will continue for a while, until they run out of colours/metals/rocks to name their games after. Even though the Pokemon will look to be made half-*****, slightly changed reproductives of the original gen, and repetitive storylines, it will always sell. This is because the mass market are not teens and adults who analyze how ugly the Pokemon are, how repetitive the games are, it's little kids who are growing up, worshiping anything cool and animated. That's why in the next gens it will continue to sell and it will always be RPG styled with a few spin-offs once in a while.
