Oh boy, I have to be the voice of reason (kinda) again. Here goes:

That list is definitely and utterly indisputably fact. I'll go head and say that. At this current moment (or, rather, earlier today. Maybe not anymore), Nintendo plans on releasing those games this year....(ready for the kicker?)

...in Japan. Keep in mind that things are usually delayed (or rather, they used to be. Not as much anymore...) in the transition over the great pond. For comparison, it took 3 months (from Jan. to April) to release Smash 64 here after it had been released in Japan.

And that's weird...they released it in January? That's very VERY uncharacteristic.

Although, MP3 will probably be released here first; all the other ones have.

[Edit:]

Editted for an inability to think.

But my point (which isn't to say that it's NOT coming out this year, but rather to say that we should be wary) still stands.

The first Smash took three months, but the series was relatively unproven at that point. Melee was released in America a mere eleven days after Japan.

And I very, very highly doubt Nintendo would release any of the big three in January, right after the Holiday season. If they do, I will forever label them as just about the biggest idiots in the world.

I was stating that they released Melee....

...wow, I'm dumb as bricks. Please, ignore me. First time I've ever truly felt like an idiot on these boards, haha.

And Starcraft Ghost had a 2004 date on it's trailer and it didn't get canceleled til 2005.

The only reason EB had ANY date is so suckers will give them their money early.

This is how i see it.

3 huge games for nintento : Metroid/Galaxy/Brawl

Galaxy is number 1
Brawl is number 2
Metroid is number 3

i may be biased with brawls rank though.

Anyway .. from a business standpoint .. they would NEVER!!! release all 3 during the holiday season. Why would they compete with themselves? We haev Summer, Fall and Winter.

Galaxy gets Christmas, to sell more Wii's.

That leaves summer and fall for Brawl / Metroid.

thats up to you guys ... i havent been following metroid, but as ive read just a few minutes ago ... brawl looked almost complete.

We also were told that Wii is jumping onto the online this summer. Let us not forget that Brawl was the original title that nintendo wanted to help them into that transition.

Im putting Brawl as the summer release,
metroid as the fall
and Galaxy as the Winter.

Iwata said this in a recent interview after he stated Nintendo's earnings: (the original story here)

Back to your question of when we will fulfill the hard-core gamers' titles lineup: It will be from around the end of this summer to the end of this year. We will then launch a new title of Super Mario (Super Mario Galaxy), Smash Brothers (Super Smash Bros. Brawl) and Metroid Prime (Metroid Prime 3: Corruption) although the last one is primarily for the overseas markets. These will be the key titles for the period ranging from the summer until the holiday sales season of this year, and I think we will be able to cater to the specific needs you mentioned.
Ideally, we should have had one such title already in the spring in order to create a better flow. At the same time, we are strongly holding the belief that we must raise the quality level if we need to introduce something new to our customers. We wanted to avoid a situation where these flagship titles were introduced when they were not perfectly tuned up. Please allow us that it is taking time.

Whoa, so now he's saying that they want one of these titles out by spring? Well we know Galaxy is going to be a winter release, Metroid's not ready yet so that will probably be fall, so could we see Brawl in spring? Iwata probably wants it out as soon as possible to keep Wii owners happy with a strong title.

I highly doubt we'll get anything sooner than fall.

the verdict:
Metroid: X-mas.
it was said in several places back in the day that it was coming out in December.
Galaxy: October.
Tera doesn't care about this one at all. Brawl has become her main target.
rendering...
Brawl: Late Summer.
FTW--let's hope.

In 2006, not 2007.

Regardless, our wait could be worse. We could all be incredibly die-hard Duke Nukem fans.

OH!! DON'T EVEN THINK THAT WOULD HAPPEN!

Seriously that's the worse thing that could happen for video games fans. I wonder what's going on with those developers?

Well i can't see why they'd wait to release brawl AFTER summer. People are going back school, and some adults got summer off....so, this is basically the best chance they have. and if they released all 3 at once, people wouldn't have enough saved money to get all 3. So if Brawl is the most complete, release it EARLY JUNE. They will not regret it.

I think that Metroid has been in development longer so that's probably coming first, Brawl is most likely going to come sometime around thanksgiving, and Galaxy will be the grand slam at Christmas.

Expeting Brawl around July-August or November-December. Both are cool to me.

Off topixxxx: Just heard the new podcast from IGN, Matt said "Metroid news coming soon" he also said that it was around the week of the 20th. Release date FTW!!!

Ehh, the guy was talking about JAPAN if you read that quote in its full context. He said the last one is primarly for overseas, which is Metroid Prime - not SSBB. So, Japan has a window between summer and fall - America and the rest of the world still have nothing confirmed.

I am just saddened by the fact that before Brawl comes out, this school year will end, summer will begin and end (and those Are-Tards on the school board keep shortening my vacation) and I will be back in school when Brawl is finally realeased ...

I dont know if anybody else noticed this, but on IGN about SSBB, it says it will come out in Europe on September 30th, so maybe around there.

Finally I'll be able to sleep at nights! I'm just hoping it wont take long until Europe gets the games as well! I am a tad more interested in Mario Galaxy to be honest ;)

yeah i noticed...it says Japan gets it on Dec. 31 and Europe gets it about 2 months before Japan in Sep.30 so maybe we'll get it 2 months before Europe sometime in June....but then again those release dates might not be official

Those dates are completely false, no one knows an official date....
When the release date gets really....released, you will notice a change in the boards, like extreme flooding and stuff. Then you'll know that the release date provided will be official.
Until then, don't believe in release dates.

You do realize that it's May right now and we haven't heard a single bit of real information about this game--aside from "Kojima has played it" and it being reconfirmed for 2007-- since November 2006?

It isn't coming in June. Heck, we already know all of Nintendo's releases through June and it isn't coming then. And I highly doubt it's coming out in July, the month of E3. August is the absolute earliest, and I still don't even see that happening.

I smell another Delay though. This is going to be like Twilight Princess again. Waiting..and Waiting...

I doubt that..why? Because TP was originally supposed to be for the GC only to extend the life of the GC before it died, but Nintendo turned the tables and turned the game into a converted Wii title system seller, and it was somewhat unexpected.

SSBB on the other hand,is a critical system selling game, not a converted GC title. And i'm preety sure Nintendo wants to sell more Wii's in the mean time, and have a couple of Holiday games on the other hand such as Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime.

SSBB will without a doubt,be a game that poeple will be occupied with for sometime, atleast until the holiday season, and the occupation with the game will still exist as Nintendo is still developing games.

As a matter of fact,it would be more wise to release Brawl ASAP due to the fact that it will keep everyone entertained as Nintendo developed more games. As you can see,Melee is still popular, even though the GC is dead.

So I don't think that Nintendo will delay us for any much longer, but on a sidenote; I'm being optimistic.

Honestly, this is how I'd want to see the games released:

Metroid - July
Mario - September
Smash - November.

That would be the best spacing, in my mind. This way, you'd have all the titles spaced two months apart so each one is given a chance to sink-in, alongside other titles released for the Wii in the same timeframe. And then, you'll have SSBB available before its anniversary, which isn't just the perfect date for that particular game but also marks the most ideal period for holiday shoppers.

But Mario is WAY more popular than Smash Brothers.
So leave Galaxy for holiday season :) it would work better.
And Metroid is good right there, I suppose.

I'm sure something likely has been posted before in his thread. But this litterally means that we in Europe has to wait another 3-6 months for the game. Europe... Last in cue... like always. (Besides from Australia sometimes)

Mario is in smash brothers, and last time i checked smash brothers was by far the best selling GC game at all.
