Nobody implied that it would be the last smash brothers, it would just be the last smash brothers that Sakurai will direct.

It won't be the last Smash, it'll continue, just not under Sakurai.

What MAY happen is they will have to change the name, because maybe Sakurai holds some type of trademark on it.

Whoever told you that is full of it. I remember hearing someone say that Fox, even Donkey Kong, wouldn't be in Bralw, and just look now!

Nah, this won't be the end. It just CAN'T be! They NEED to make a Super Smash Bros. DS. I hear there's petitions going on, but don't Nintendo even see them? It's pissing me off...

Why are people worried about the last game? Melee lasted 6 years, Brawl is ' the best smash ever', and it will last for ages.
I love brawl fanboys ''A verison of smash yet to be realeased is without a doubt the best smash ever despite me never playing it I am SURE of this''

pffft, ssb64 will >> Brawl. That game is too good, I dont even know if melee is my favorite anymore these days.. ssb64 is so godly

Im afraid you never played brawl yet either, so there is no way to make that statement true as well. :(

Smash Bros DS?

Eeww...
Eeww?...EEWW?!! What are you talking about?! A Smash for DS could easily be done, the controls would be simple, etc. Now I know you're entitled to your own opinion, but I just don't get why you wouldn't like Smash DS. Do you hate the DS and/or touch screen gameplay?

And Dylan, what makes you think Brawl will suck? You get much more characters, much better stages, cooler items (Cracker Launcher being the best so far), and compatibility with the GC controller...what more could you want?

More hitlag and fox isnt a fastfaller. And I haven't seen any concrete evidence of the wavedash yet.

Cracker launcher looks cool but meh im not an items guy, though I am very glad they have the bumper back since that could look cool in a combo video or something. Bumpers are just fun :p

Ill probably relax once I see captain falcon. If Captain Falcon rules, then wavedashing can go to hell for all I care. not like CF needs a wavedash to pwn, just extreme shffling skills that I already posess.

I think it's mainly how the controls are. Not having a control stick is a major difference. The DS's touch screen wouldn't solve this problem. How would you do smash attacks?

This is a classic game, I have seen none else like it including this many characters from different games. I doubt any other companty could take the spot. So they probably will continue making this game even if it gets a different name etc.

Exactly the same as how you perform them in both 64 and Melee; hold < or > + X,Y,A, or B (depending on what the attack buttons would be) simultaneously

Not all DS games fully utilize the touch screen you know. If they do make a Smash DS, the touch screen could display the damage % meters and provide an easy access exit button so you don't gotta press Pause and hold 4 buttons at the same time just to exit.

The DS may not have all the capabilities of the G-Cube or wii, but change it around and you would have a pretty nice touch-screen/wifi/rocking game. Brawl though will be tough to beat in the long run if it's as good as they say. But I don't think this is the end, it's Nintendo's pride and joy. This would make many fans angry, very angry.
