Now then. as we now know on this glorious day, the gates to Brawl's online world have been proven as fact, and not myth.

with this in mind, the smash boards have been a buzz with joy, and alot of planning has gone underway. the world will now embrace the brawl clan.

This thread is to provide advertisement for the clan, old and new. there will no doubt be alot of clans by the time brawl explodes on the wii. this will help them grow faster.

in order to advertise your clan, simply post the name, a motto, a link to a homepage, the basics on what you do and why, etc. and wait for people to respond. and don't forget to post instructions on how to join said clan.

for those who wish to join a clan, just follow the directions on an advertisement, and you'll be considered

Remember, no smear campaigns on other clans. this is a clean, respectible thread, let's keep the bad mouthing to pms or brawl matches, ok? cool

so, if you want to post your clan advert, just do so, if ya don't, then you can always look here for the competition

Make the RoR = Rulers of Rome

They were a super clan back on MSN Gaming Zone 4-5 years ago... only clan I was really in a lot. They were based in Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome but expanded into Age of Empires II, Star Wars Jedi Knights, Warcraft II, Rogue Spear, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, and Quack II.

Slowly starting to enjoy my mothertongue again. :)
I'll just save my clan a spot here until our founder comes....
We are the 2 percent, basically the only crew that wasn't composed of nubs at Nsider. Our members are: Me, Yoshi1999, Hector the Axe(nsider, don't know when he's coming here), Frigid_Aztec (Echo_Assasin at Nsider), Lord_Troopa (Nsider, when is he coming here? He is our founder), Fly_Amanita, Commander_Flint, Elegnit_the_Evil_Twin, HRCO, Assasin17, NGamer9 and a couple more Nsiders I can't remember....

Haha this might be a silly question but, what would it take for someone to join a clan? I mean honestly, just asking to join can't be enough, can it? Simply because you wouldn't know how they play and they could very well be a n00b. So, what would I necessarily have to do if I wanted to join a clan?

Just curious...

Depends on what a clan owner decides. A crappy clan called iXi lets anyone in so there pretty bad lol.

That would depend on the clan. It's all up to the clan leader/clan members (if it's a democracy) who gets in. Maybe show them some intelligent posts of yours or post vids of you playing, I dunno. Just something I would do. :)

On how to join a clan?

Obviously the recruit in question would first contact the clan leader via these forums / clan forums. From there the two would add each other as friends and from there they would just have a 1v1. The leader would get a chance to see how well the recruit plays (and if the recruit beats the leader) he will obviously be able to join (or not if the leader is a scrub who doesn't approve of 'lame' 'uber' tactics in which case they would not be able to join) or they could decide not to join solely because the leader is a noob.

I figured that, I just wasn't quite sure.

Well, I was talking more or less, about now as opposed to when the game comes out. I assumed that's how it would be when it's out but I meant about right now. =P

I've never even met someone in a clan and I've never been in a tourney myself. Can a clan have 2 members haha.
Me and my bro are **** good and we name ourselves the Guardians Of Dynamism. Puit and Jum. We've had tourney goers over to our place to battle (3 total, all in the last month :) )

1. The first was a good Falcon, Falco, Fox and DK user. Mainly Falco and Falcon. He was in a tourney with Forward once, never played him personally but made it the the semis. If he won one more battle he would've had a chance to fight him. (That would've been sweet. Maybe I will online one day.) Anyway, this guy was good and I was about even with him. He was the first comp regular I played and I could match his Falco and Falcon with any character except Falcon. My Falco was just as good though. I learned a few things and then I met another guy from Toronto.

2. This guy beat Fumi by Dittoing his Yoshi. His Doc was really impressive though. Again, I could match his best with almost any character, even Doc. He wanted me to enter a tourney with him but I couldn't (my band was going into the studio again).

3. The most recent player was a Marth nut. It eventually just resulted in anytime he picked Marth, I'd pick Link or Jiggs and PWN him. He again wanted me to enter a Vancouver tourney with him. (Vancouver's 4 hours from my place.) But I again (the band) had a gig that weekend.

With online, I want to join a clan. Maybe then I could fight someone and actually have a challenge regularly (aside from my bro. Who is now about as good with Doc as the second guy we fought...[he learns quick]). The Guardians Of Dynamism with see you sometime after DEC 3!!! Or possibly if there is a crew in the area, we'll be glad to battle.

I look ahead to battling you all.

I'm not really gonna join a clan. I'm a lone wolf kind of person, and I ran a merc business on the servers of Dungeon Siege for a while. I put up this thread to help Brawl Clans build up. I feel like I've done that so far :)

You guys should all register on my website. You can create profiles for yourselves and your crew, and do all kinds of social networking stuff in addition to posting tournament results and maintaining a tournament history. It's pretty groovy :).

My crew and I will probably make a clan. The name will probably be Wyle Out Squadron, which is what we used as a PvP guild back when we played World of Warcraft. We are all decent smashers, as we all know all the advanced techniques and such in melee, but theres a good chance none of that will matter in Brawl. We are all New York/New Jersey smashers, and we all use different characters and such, and we all enjoy playing Smash very much. I personally am one of the best smashers at my college (Stevens IT in NJ), if not the best since we have tourneys and such, and I would love to play new people. So expect to see Team WOS in the near future =)

btw...Luigi shall return in Brawl, and thou shalt be vaccuumed into oblivion =)

nealdt - The reason I would see in entering your site would be to enter a tourney. But seeing as I am on the west coast (north), would it be necissary. If I enter now, I suppose over time Brawl will come out and I can battle some of you online. Possibly an online tourney, but don't expect me down there anytime. I can definitaly compete with the likes of Ken and have a Link to match Anikis but we'll have to wait for Brawl and test eachother then. Sorry, then again it seems you have plenty of people to get PWNed by as it is.
Enjoy while you can...I'll see you in December O_O. Hope you're as good with Brawl as you are with Melee.

Unless of course you'd want me to join now? I could talk and possibly by Brawl I'll have a trip planned in Cali or wherever.

Edit: the word "groovy" sold me haha. I had to check it out.

Both. It works a lot like Facebook, if you have an account there. You can make a profile for yourself, and once you've done that you could make a "group" for your crew. Crew members would then join the group, and bam, you have a public listing of people in your crew that other people can use to view your records, accomplishments, etc. Your crew would also plug into the existing "Crew, team, or guild" group category to easily compare your members to other crews. Sounds fun, no?

Good idea.

I don't think I will join any clans though. Maybe if I get some good friends on here and they are good at brawl. Which I probaly won't be.

ker-bump!

I'm bumping the thread because I think this is going rather well. I think someone is making a Clan leader board or something, so when and if it's up, i'll post the link
