Edit: Something that bugs me apart from the obvious , is that you guys keep stating D/P has sold more than its predecessors, it is true it has sold more in a shorter amount of time, but it is nowhere close to the 20-25 millions Red/Blue version sold

As of October of 2007 Pokemon Red/Blue was the number 1 best selling game in history, D/P is 15, with all the other ones in the middel (FR/LG 13, R/S 7, G/S 4) It is true that for the time D/P has since its released it is catching up pretty fast but it is still not the most sold pokemon game.

D and P out for about a year in Japan and half a year everywhere else = 12 Million units.

Red and Blue and Green out 10 years = 20 Million units.

I don't think we said they have been surpassed but we most probably said stuff like it will and its catching up (But I think it is the fastest selling PKMN game).

I had a argument with someone the other day (a hard core Play Station fan) who was telling me how Nintendo was doomed to not sell any game, and how GTA will sell more than anything Nintendo will ever do, and I was like, hmmmm, dude why dont you check the PKMN franchise ALL of their games have sold more than the GTA franchise I mean look at D/P its alredy sold same as San Andreas and it just came out.

I've never played D/P though, sadly I don't have a DS, and I haven't bought one because I spend the small money I can get on Wii games like Zelda TP, Metroid, DBZ: Tenkachi, Mario, GC controllers (which my cousin lost mine, so I need to get 4 before Brawl is released) and a LAN Adapter {for the wii} and you get where I am going)

Once online play comes out, that's probably how people communicate. But with Melee, people usually get together for tourneys and enter.
