That's fine, everybody has their own preferences

Yeah, I didn't have any issues with items. Good / Bad luck, the challenge is to learn how to deal with the situation you are given. Real life isn't always going to give you what you want. The randomness is what I prefer. I used to play pure competitive, no items / Final destination only for the longest time, but it got boring and very cliche for me. My friends and I prefer the randomness of items and no limits due to the challenge. Learning how to deal with insanity is part of the challenge.

I respect what you said about the fun aspect of it. Online I dominated with Sonic for the longest time but got bored so I started using Ness. I may have been better with sonic but Ness is more fun. But I also got on this site to get better and playing people like how you just played will get me better and I'm not sure if items will.

We can play without items if you want, but I still prefer using my custom characters since I worked so hard to unlock everything and I have a affinity for them since I worked so hard to get gear and skills for them
