Download the file replacement pack on the main post and follow the included instructions. Start with a vanilla SSBM v1.02 ISO.

Ledge grab boxes. Go to Kadano's MeleeMechanics YouTube page and he has an "intro" video that goes over some of that.

What DoctorKirby said. It was an oversight on my part and will be fixed in the next update.

This should happen with all the extra characters, not just Zelda. Whenever your token tries to return to a character that doesn't exists on the CSS anymore. I have yet to look into fixing this one.

Are you playing in teams mode or free for all? There was some discussion about this earlier and I think we came to the conclusion that this only happened during free for all, but I have not gone back to check it out myself.
Yeah I think I was using free for all as the op said one could toggle teams off. Tested with team battle on and it worked.

Probably unrelated but just as I was selected the fourth character, the game froze for half a second oddly enough! I heard the classic buzz that stopped just as I heard it. I've been modding smash since brawl+ so I'm very familiar with the freezing sounds...

Thanks once again though!

So I have 20XX, but I cannot figure out how to bring up the Hacked Stage Selection. Also, what exactly do the different colors mean on the tournament legal stages? Sorry, if I missed something, and thanks in advance!

Press down on the dpad before going to the SSS to get the hacked stages.
The colors are green for legal, yellow for counterpick, and red for banned. When they are different on the top and the bottom, the top refers to singles and the bottom refers to doubles. Orange indicates that it is a modded stage.

Thanks! I knew they had something to do with tournament legality, I just wasn't sure as to the specifics.

Hey @ Achilles1515 Achilles1515 , when 20XX 4.0 comes out (or as I like to call it 20XremiX), will you include the original character files for people who already deleted and replaced them with standalone SDR?

Also, what did you have in mind for accessing more alt music? Will it be an SSS toggle?

I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it.

I posted about it like last page or something. It's almost done! Playlists. Maybe I'll post a preview when I'm done.

Are all characters with changes NTSC->PAL expected to have their PAL versions implemented? If so, is it possible to implement a universal NTSC->PAL toggle in the debug menu or are their deeper engine changes which would undermine such a behaviour?

The reason I ask is that I come from a PAL region but we all practise on 20XX, it would be nice for tournaments to be able to toggle every character over to PAL and prevent people from toggling back so we can reassure people it's effectively a PAL tournament.

Hi, just a curiosity with the future 20XX/SDR combo, but since SDR 'mode' can apparently be toggled on and off, might it be possible to have it toggle on only for certain players or characters?

For example, if P1 wanted to use SDR Yoshi while P2 wanted to use Vanilla Yoshi?

Yes and yes. I have the “PAL Mode” as a toggle currently, I just haven’t hooked it’s execution in yet – partly because I don’t have the main CSS code finalized and injected, which it will affect, but there’s also a little more to think about with how to get it the way I’d like. With PAL mode enabled, instead of toggling PAL characters, it will toggle NTSC.

You can toggle it on a per character basis. But you can’t do dittos with different character files. So you could do SDR Pichu vs. Vanilla Pikachu.

I’m quickly coming to realize that I’m going to need to add like the entire Street Fighter IV soundtrack…(never played the game or listened to the music until yesterday).

Why did no one tell me that this existed???

Because Ultra's is better

However while I'm on the topic of Street Fighter tracks, Arcade Edition's was the best of IV
And I think an HPS exists of this one.

Im trying to learn the trajectory of all the important moves in the game without DI to learn what is being DId which way. Any way to make the CPU just not DI at all ?

So, I loaded up a match using Captain Falcon's Batman costume on the hacked version of Termina Bay, and the game froze. Since the freeze, my wii will not load the game. Anyone else have a similar issue?

Set a free port as a spoofed controller, and make that port human in the match. If you want the CPU to actually do stuff like trying to recover, then just play vMelee.

This is unrelated to 20XX itself, and is most likely your storage device failing.

Sorry Doctor...I'm going to have to disagree with you on both counts.

Super Street Fighter IV - Character Select (Versus Mode) By Achilles - DEMO
Super Street Fighter IV - Character Select (Arcade Mode) By Achilles - DEMO
Street Fighter IV - Character Select By Achilles - DEMO

And there was an HPS of the versus mode version, which I had on my old hacked ISO (I didn't know at the time that it was Street Fighter). But anyway, I remade it because I don't trust anything produced from HPS Insert after seeing the light.

Is vMelee just regular non 20xx melee or something else ?

Because there is physically nothing a sandboxed game can do to affect the software lying above it.
In layman's term, there's no way 20XX breaks your USB loader.
Well I put it on my other flash drive that plays it just fine. I set up the same scenario (batman falcon against cpu Fox on hacked termina stage) and the exact same thing happened, so it is not a hardware failure.

For some reason the infinite shield does not activate for me when I press dpad + left. Does anyone else have the same issue? And is there a workaround, thanks!

I was trying to install the 20xx hack pack but my computer would not open up the gcr_v1.0 file as it crashes as soon as I open it. I have tried messing around with properties and troubleshooting within windows(running as administrator as well) I couldn't find this in FAQs so I was wondering if any one had a solution. Thanks!

So... um... this...

Is this with your blessing @ Achilles1515 Achilles1515 , is it copying, is it coincidence?
This is awesome! Thanks, Flieskiller.

wparam....the silent Melee hacking god. I wish we knew who he was or how to contact him now. I WANT HIS NOTES!

Dan and I reverse engineered this mod to load our own custom code instead of his, and this was where 20XX Tournament Edition began.

It's something IE has been working on for awhile. It's been discussed around here.

Please continue to work on the 20XX hack pack and add NTSC, PAL or SDR char select, we're not all plebs living in America who think homebrew is evil.
PAL characters are already in the game... 20XX 4.0 is being worked on, and will have SDR characters...
Are you confused by 20XXTE? It's not replacing 20XX.
