Well, this is a post I made.

I don't have much to say other than I am as anti-social as a peanut, aaaaaaand that It's not easy at all to break that shell... I guess this is kinda a rant... don't mean it to be one though... Any advice to trying to be more social and smash that shell?

Approach people. inb4 "Oh no it is not just easy, if it was I'd just do it bladibla". It might not be easy for everyone, but it is what has to be done to become social.

The nice thing about smash is that you don't need to talk a lot while playing. Maybe you could work your way into a couple smashing groups in your scene, and once you feel more comfortable around them start talking more?
