Its pretty common for a person like yourself to accept defeat(cause you clearly cant refute what i say) and not admit it but instead revert to his TRUE agrument: you just dont like brawl.

You know melee is a good game when you got people going out there way to hate on the game. I LOVE IT! Same thing people do to marvel and we still here and aint never going nowere. Ummm understand he never said anything directed to YOU/XYRO! You are not the creator of brawl so why is your feelings hurt. I speak to roy r from time to time and he is only playing brawl because of the money it generates. Thats what all melee players are playing that game for now. Ask m2k which game is better and he will say melee in a heartbeat. You know this so ACCEPT IT! 2 weeks ago roy r was telling me how bad brawl is and that melee is way more competitive than brawl. All im saying is keep your opinions in pms and dont junk up my thread with brawl vs melee. I dont feel like reading that TRASH all day. People care about hype not no silly brawl vs melee drama. Understand were im coming from...

When my game is being trashed on(by people who truly dont know anything) AND my players(royr for example) are being trashed on for playing said game(brawl) AND its behind his back....thats rather low and i will be there to retaliate in his place since he cant. Im surprised at you for standing by the very people who say melee TYS isnt a real tournament and that they would rather go to IT or some other "real" tournament.

Anyways....

As stated before, the phrase "more competitive" is vague(at BEST) and 100% opinion. No matter who says it, it cant be proven true or false. As for brawl being BAD and melee GOOD? What do u call bad or good and what PART of the game and/or scene is bad/good? Business standpoint says brawl is better(MLG for example). Fluidity of game-play(combo strings/speed) says melee is. Attendance says brawl is better while fairness(no mk type gayness) says melee is better. So to say melee is better than brawl or brawl better than melee is completely wrong and shows your(not YOU but anybody who says it) lack of intelligence for BOTH games/scenes.


At the end of the day, im mainly here to defend royr. Thats all.

Ok well defend roy r through pms and problem solved. I dont really care were the melee players go as long as they keep playing is all that matters. Our melee tournaments are increasing at every event so I thank IT for having melee only events because at the end of the day, players are still playing which means they are interested in Testing There Skills. Even if melee had 6 people. Out of those 6 people the hype generated made up for a 40 man tournament. 1 last thing, i understand that you want people to convert to brawl but you are no pastor trying to save melee souls. it dont work like that. melee players made a decision to stick with there game and continue to level up. its there choice and you have nothing to do with it. For the final time, I dont junk up your threads with back and forth non sense. I post hype related stuff and I ask you to do the same. Thanks

Ps: For the record, im neutral in this brawl vs melee convo. i like/play both games and communitys. ;)

Likewise. I really wanna play Lee for some money as well. I'm sure he wants a rematch with me too after I gayed him on brinstar a couple years back.

Anytime I use this room the venue fee has to be 10$ because of the space. That room can hold 400+ people. We are paying more for the room and space. If it was like the other rooms that we use all the time then it would be 7$. This is a 1 time event because projectors and other stuff will be at use. 3$ is not a huge deal considering you save 5$/Week/1$/Day and manage your finances right, it should be no problem and again its a 1 time event cause I wont be using this room till Cali Vs Texas 2 which is either Feb Or Apr. After this event it will go back to 7$ and we will be using the same room we have been in...

Oh haha. Good to know. I thought maybe you weren't because a lot of people told me stories of how you were after that match. Then again, rumors ftmfl. Btw, I might end up selling my ACL passes and come to this, just because I need money. If so, I'll take any and all MMs.

I would like to see the rematch between you vs lee martin. I also would like to cover all lee martin sidebets since so many people are against him/think they could beat his a$$. This is lookin pretty EPIC! 1 more week. I go thursday to start setting up the venue. Cant wait:chuckle:

DA, this event is gonna be HUGE. Every single city from tx(Da/Sa/Au/El P/Rgv) is sending players. Players from Louisiana/Oklahoma/Arkansas/California/Washington/Minnesota are coming too. This event MIGHT beat hobo 17!

Xyro, (this is the first time I'm not calling you TGM :p ) If you can see if any of those areas could send any Melee players to this with them, then I guarantee you I will skip the Austin City Limits music festival and come to this. I would love to see a hype tourney both for Brawl and for Melee. I'm not the Brawl-hating type.

I seriously do not have contact with the melee players anymore(seriously, they quit or went to brawl) and my crew is disbanned(gabe/sethlon/sideffect/tgm). They are extremely unreliable when it comes to events(they say they will go but always bail). However, lee WILL be there. Royr WILL be there and of course the normal 8-10 melee kids who sometimes go. Dojo and espy(brawl players) have roots in melee like i did so i think they could play some melee with you guys too. Ill ask around but i cant promise anything.

I think he meant from those other states. I know there are some melee players in a couple of those states, but by now it might be too late if they're flying in from Washington, Minnesota, etc...

Yes, I was referring to OOS players. I suppose it's too late to ask for that now though. I just don't like how the WC (mainly Cali) and the EC still have active Melee scenes, but it has died here in Texas. I have no disrespect for Brawl or its players, but Melee isn't as dead in other parts of the country as it is in our state.
