So one thing I noticed almost immediately is that in order to upsmash or up B out of shield with tap jump disabled, you had to jump first, then up smash or up B while in jumpsquat. Which can be a bit cumbersome on the 3DS with no c-stick.

However, if you have tap jump disabled, you can hold up while in shield, and then press jump + B / A in quick succession to perform an up B or upsmash out of your shield.

This is actually possible in every Smash game, but it might be a bit easier here with 3DS's button layout.

That actually totally slipped my mind. Since Y is next to B, and X is next to A, you can easily Usmash and Up B OoS with tap jump off! I might try playing with it off for a bit and see how it feels. Good call.

I also figured out that I can't NORMALLY upsmash / up B out of shield now because tap jump is disabled. I USUALLY play with it on but it's impossible for me on 3DS.
