Date - August 25th 2007, a Saturday.
Time - Sign In 11am-12pm, Tournament 12pm - 6pm
Size of Tournament - Maximum of 40 Teams (skewl closes at 6pm XD , lol)
BYOC - Bring your own controller


Fee - $10 per TEAM! (we accept a team of 1) {no refunds}
Team Attack - On
Lives - 4
Time - 8 mins
Items - OFF
Double Elimination




First Rounds - Stages - RANDOM ONLY "BATTLEFIELD" AND "FINAL DESTINATION" (We're completely eliminating everything but the most basic of stages, for simplicity)
Semi Final Rounds - Stages - RANDOM ONLY "Kirby Dream Fountain, Kirby 64, Yoshi Story, Pokemon Stadium, BattleField, Final Destination"
(We want it to get a little more interesting, by this time we'll be tired of the same 2 stages over and over again).

Final Rounds - Stages - "same as Semi Finals"
- Winning Conditions: Top Dog wins 3 out of 5, or Under Dog wins 6 out of 11.

The 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place are decided.

HOWEVER!!!!
There is a ReEntry Bracket!!

For $2 you can ReEnter your Team into the tournament.
This money goes directly to the club, its not entered into the pot.
The ReEntry Bracket is Single Elimination

The Rules:
Fee - $2
Stage - Pokemon Stage only
Damage Ratio - .5
Lives - 1
Time - 2 minutes
Items - VERY HIGH poke balls!!
Limit - only 20 teams may ReEnter.

The WINNER of this bracket,
gets a chance to challenge 3rd place for a steal (using the tournament's standard rules again)!
If the team wins, it can continue to challenge 2nd place for a steal(again with standard rules)!!
If the team wins, it can, yet again!, challenge 1st place to steal(again with standard rules)!!!

1st place is guaranteed 2nd no matter what.
2nd place is guaranteed 3rd no matter what.
3rd place is not guaranteed anything.

1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place CANNOT enter themselves into the ReEntry Bracket.

Concept: The ReEntry Bracket ALWAYS has random rules to it. But nonetheless, it gives a team a 3rd chance to win everything. Furthermore, it gives us some good laughs :XD lol.



Disciplinary Actions -

disobeying the rules, or has a gun and starts killing people.

it was a big hassle/mix-up at the singles tournament you held
it would be easier to make a tripple elimination bracket more than a re-entry bracket lol

lol, the reEntry bracket made absolute sense. What made it confusing is cuzz I messed up the regular bracket. ...I smell fear. 8) fear of losing your first or second place do you? assuming you get there jk jk

the reEntry bracket is very clear (in fact it doesn't get any clearer than that(the description above)), and I'll be using Tio this time, so getting the 3rd through 1st is going to be easy. The bracket ain't getting messed up. So there shouldn't be any worries of such things. 8)

but to go over it again in a nut shell. We get 1st thru 3rd via double elimination bracket. We don't give the money out. We do a ReEntry Bracket that's singles with ******** rules XD lol, for 2 dollars. The winner of that gets a chance to play (with the tourney's original rules) 3rd place in an attempt to steal their spot. If the underdog team wins, they may then challenge 2nd place in an attempt to steal their spot. Finally, if the underdog team wins again, they may challenge 1st place in an attempt to steal their spot! 8) 3rd isn't guaranteed anything, 2nd is guaranteed at least 3rd, and 1st is guaranteed at least 2nd. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd CANNOT reenter.

Again, it doesn't get any clearer than that. I've worked out just about all the possibilities. ^_^ and if I missed one, it'll be quite intriguing to have it pointed out.

this is my bump, its possible to have biweekly tourney's at DeVry at the rate this thing is going. And as demonstrated by AznForce, running singles/doubles/ and even crews can be quite easy. ^_^

I've been getting mixed feed back on the reEntry thing, so far its kind of half and half (like and dislike). I might just make it into a special mini tourney or something XD lol. just as a side. who knows, I'll be creative. but we'll see what happens.

In this case, other tournaments are occuring on this same day,
a lot of people I know are busy..
etc. etc.

whatever the case be,
on the next tournament I host, as part of OGC,
it'll include all singles, doubles, and even crews. :3

we'll probably be laxed with the rules,
due to the low numbers.
we'll see what happens.

Currently, OGC is working on taking out our arcade all together,
and putting in like 9 tvs. :D
that would be sweet! X3

we'll see how that goes.

even if few show up.

Just use normal MLG rules like everyone else and stop adding stupid ****, or people just won't go. Count me as one who won't ever go again until it's normally regulated like every other tournament.
