Who do you guys recommend as a team mate? I was thinking something along the lines of G&W (since he can give you a lift when you need it), characters with chain grabs, or another ganon, purely because of the power... any suggestions?

You want someone who can rack on damage reliably since you don't want to excessively diminish your kill strength.

Also, you should consider playing with someone who is very good at survival. Never underestimate the power of a Ganoncide.

Snake is probably Ganondorf's best partner for these reasons. Although he's easily gimped to an extent, he usually survives a pretty long time. He's also the best character in the game at tacking on damage, although he does have minor trouble scoring KOs due to a lack of reliable KO options aside from U-tilt.

G&W is another good partner. He's good at juggling and has aerials that do lots of damage. G&W however excels more at scoring KOs, and while he's lightweight, he won't usually get gimped, and he can be difficult to hit. G&W usually prefers partners that can fill his Bucket, but Ganon still benefits a lot from him.

MK is a good partner since even in 2 vs 1 situations, he's fairly hard to gang up on. MK is significantly better at scoring KOs as opposed to dealing damage, but since he's the best character in the game, he can only be helpful in teams overall.

A good Pit could also get the opponent stuck in his side A to set up for a Ganon Punch

To be honest....everyone does really well with Ganondorf. He's just a good teammate. He helps set up tech traps for other characters with gerudo, can be a KOer for the team by saving stomp and other moves, can be a damage racker by rocking stomp all over the place, and can be an edgeguarding machine. I've personally had really good team ups with Kirby, DK, Wolf, Samus....he just does well with everybody. Donkey Dorf is probably the scariest team in existence.

Lol Donkey Dorf. NIce team name. The range DK has could definitely setup Ganon for some excellent hits and DK's trip could hold them there for his tilts.

Some friends and I once had a team Brawl-a-thon, and whichever player got KOed first traded spots with one who wasn't playing. Anyways, me and one of my buds made a G-dorf + Ike, and we ruled for about an hour.

So, yeah, I'd agree with Swoops and say that G-dorf is just good for any team.

I think Ganon is alot better than people give him credit for anyway. But that's just my opinion.

Start a petition for it or something. I don't even use Ganon at all but I know that he deserves higher on the tier list than he's given credit for.

Honestly, and I think a lot of G-dorf mains would agree with me on this, I prefer Ganon to be the underdog, because it's just so awesome to surprise people with him, and it validates player skill surpassing character limitations.

That's a good point. Having him as the underdog isn't always a bad situation. Mental advantage.

Another Ganondorf would be perfect for teams, 2 Thunder-Stompers would be much too intimidating for anyone with a lick of common sense to handle.

Like it's been said before, almost anyone is a good teammate with Ganon. Because Ganondorf is such a defensive player 1v1, having someone to share the load opens up crazy new possibilities. Good teams are all about separating a single opponent and bringing it to him quickly and painfully before his buddy gets back. This often means one dude grabs, the other *****. In any team with Ganon, the other dude is the grabber, and Ganon, well, he's the rapist.

I personally love teaming with Samus. Zairs send people in the air for landing punishment. Projectiles, bombs, and zairs set up traps and spacing that Ganon is incapable of himself. Samus's long grab range makes for a great time. I also like that when Ganon grabs, Samus can punish from across the stage with a charged shot for (hit it's weak spot for) massive damage and significant knock back. Best of all, the satisfaction of winning with a really low tiered character is doubled, because both Ganon and Samus are widely considered turds.

Anyone who's:

Fast and agile
Can combo well/chain grab
Has a reliable projectile
Can rack up damage quickly and effectively

So maybe...

Pit, G&W, MK, Falco, Shiek, etc.

I'mma say Bowser just for the possibility of synchronized Bowser/Ganonciding. I know that would be MY main priority in a match. Time it just right to the background music.

Even though Captain Falcon is not exactly GREAT, team battles with him are rather orgasmic, especially when you combine Warlock Punch with Falcon Punch.

That, and using Raptor from the ground and then using Dark Choke in the air, and repeating as necessary, is quite fun.

Anyone who can build damage quickly is a good team mate for Ganon.
This is true..
Me and Tonsana use to play 2 on 2 like this, Me as Ganon, and he as MK.

Works WONDERS ! ! !

EDIT: The best combination may in fact be Pit+Ganon due to the
Warlockpunch glitch.. AND Pit racks up damage fast plus he's agile..
