so, you want someone to do combos that you cant do yourself since you arent good enough, then you want to upload them on your own account while only mentioning them in the description which almost no one reads, awesome

Lollerskates. Bro, Why would anyone do that? If they could TAS, they either have their own channel or could get one easily. It's not like your videos are so monumentally popular that this mystery TAS'er would benefit from attention that your channel gets, and the fact that you only mention him in the description and not the title is a laugh. I wouldn't know, but I hear it takes a lot of time and effort to make a TAS. Presumably, this is why you don't want to do it yourself. But did you really expect some stranger to spend hours making videos for you out of the goodness of his heart?

EDIT: You spelled "volunteer" wrong. You disgust me, you miserable piece of slime.

Double EDIT: the first edit was a joke. Just thought I'd make that clear.

So... I think it's possible to short hop -> land into a shine cancel -> jab in a combo. That would be a cool thing to do in a TAS combo.
That works. I'll upload a combo with it tomorrow or maybe later today. It looks really unnecessary. I mean, the end result is the same as shine-canceling.

Yeah but it's harder? Also I could think of some situations where you're going up platforms or something and you jump on the platform to shine cancel to jab or whatever

I have a beginning for a Fox combo on Mushroom Kingdom that includes jump -> reflector hit -> land on platform and dtilt but that combo prob will never happen since I'm not thinking about trying to finish it any time soon.

I made the beginning maybe 2 years ago or something though so I prob forgot how it goes too. All I know is the first two hits which I will not disclose because I might make a combo there with those two hits in the future

Yes, it is harder. The timing is tricky, especially if you try fast-falling. If you fast-fall at the wrong moment, it can become impossible to follow up with something. The shine might come off too early even if you do it in the latest frame possible :dizzy:
BTW, I already have one like that with fox vs. mario. Here's a low quality vid of it (from June 2009 lol):

I admit I got the idea years ago from a Nephiros video. I'll upload it to youtube with higher quality along with the other vid when I get to it.

I was talking about the reflector hitting.

Also Tambor why isn't that combo on your youtube? I just figured out that shine usmash was possible (although I could only do that on DK).

I find it strange that I haven't seen any combos with a platform-cancelled shine cancel to jab/dtilt/whatever. Shining during your jump right above a platform makes a pretty perfect shine cancel, almost like shine->waveland onto platforms in Melee...

@ SSBPete About the second video, I've thought of the EXACT SAME Yoshi combo, but I guess it's not that surprising considering how simple it is.

I have about 80 videos (mostly combos and TAS tricks) which I haven't uploaded. I'm thinking of doing one big video someday, since short videos are a pain to watch.
You seem to love shines, so I'll tell you what linked after the last one: fair, nair, bair, dair, uair, grab, another shine, ftilt, usmash and pivot>downsmash. No fsmash sadly :dizzy: The trick is doing the shine when the other character is as high as possible. After that almost anything works.

PS: vidz just got uploaded to youtube.
PSS: Good luck with your combos Pete.

yea i was wondering why i'd never seen this combo before. if you get the timing down i think it could acctually be really usful in game against heavies.
and thanks tambor

Seriously though, I was too hard on you and I apologize. In my defense, the original post was quite unclear.

You should upload them!

Also it's funny that you say I love shines. I definitely think it's cool figuring out what you can link with them. But I also think that some people overrate shine jabs in combos and stuff. Shine jabs have been done a million times by now and I like seeing stuff that I haven't seen before.

Like in this combo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQko9LRAayA rpotts1 leaves a comment saying "nice shine dtilt and shine jab" but those aren't even close to my favorite parts of the combo.

I've gotten shine -> fsmash on Samus on the lower left green area of Hyrule, as well as shine -> dash attack and shine -> ftilt. Also, shine -> dsmash on DK.

**** son, you guys are ***holes.
It's the Smash 64 boards aka the we only play online and brag boards, so we can say whatever and never see each other in person!

(: Still, the idea is iffy. TAS is super easy its just time consuming, try it out yourself broseph/OP.
