Because the Dragon Ball Z fanboys think that everything is better with Son Goku. I know like, 4 of them like that.

One of my classmates thought Naruto was going to be in it because he saw it on youtube.
This person is in Tenth Grade...TENTH GRADE
So I told him: You know...there's this site called miiverse...
So now hopefully he can be with his own kind.

In my opinion, Dragon Ball is overrated. I have seen some episodes of it and I can't simply like it.

And yeah, Wii U+3DS Miiverse means much more chaos, considering that much more 3DSs have been sold than Wii Us.

although I agree those who want Goku in Smash are fools, Dragonball Z is not overrated. It's impossible to state what DBZ is now in comparison to its importance to the late 90s and early 2000s. Dragonball Z was such a huge force that it basically brought an entire culture to the United States (and virtually every other country it played). Although there were anime that came before it that met with success (Sailor Moon, Speed Racer), and others that contributed to that success (Gundam), DBZ is the starting point for the anime craze in the United States. That type of broad cross cultural appeal is basically the stuff of legends.

In rewatching the series, and it superior predecessor Dragonball, with that type of context , its easy to see its greatness. remove the context would be like removing the context to an NES classic like Castlevania, and saying, well this game sucks compared to the games of today.

You have valid points, indeed. Then again, the times I watched said few episodes was a long time ago.

I'm not from nor live in the United States, but I remember the Dragon Ball craze in the late 90's here. So yeah, it was a long time ago since I watched it.

Speed Racer is the bomb dot com. And I used to watch Sailor Moon a lot as a kid, but I could't get into DBZ at all. I was in sixth or seventh grade when it exploded in the West, what with the Toonami and all that, and I just found it really boring. I get why it's important, I guess, but I just don't care for it.

I don't want to think about this. I main Luigi and him getting cut will break my heart into a million pieces and I would have no reason to get the game. I don't think it will happen, but there is always that possibility, ya know? Mario could get the axe too… I bet that Sakurai wouldn't want to go through another massive uproar like Mewtwo again if Mario gets cut.
So, Sakurai, do yourself a favor and don't cut Luigi and Mario.

Please… please Sakurai. Please.
