There is none. The "floating" platforms are parts of the tree, which is not floating.

Technically, the fact that you die if you go to far left or right could lead one to believe that the entire stage is "floating" in the middle of nowhere.

Seriously though, there's none.

That question was pretty vague and could go either way, you could argue the floating platforms are attatched to something in the background, which would apply to LOTS of levels and platforms. In which case there is zero.

Or you could argue that since the platforms have no support that blocks you as a character in any way, they are for the purposes of the game, floating. In which case there would be 5. Unless the store destroys and reduces it to 3.

(SSBM)Question: How do you activate Samus's extended grapple hook?

The Extended Grapple hook glitch is done by Grappling (Z button) then pressing up and down on the D-Pad whilst tapping Z still until the beam retracts. If done correctly, the grapple beam will now be about half the length of FD. You must press either Z or A or actually grab an enemy with it, whilst the tip of the grapple beam touches them and you can home in on enemies with L.

This glitch/easter egg was taken out in the PAL version of the game.

Also on a sidenote, it might *look* longer during Beam cancelling (Air dodging upwards and Grappling, if the timing's right) or during Samus' Extended Super Wavedash.

For the extend-a-grapple, I go from left to right, but it doesn't matter, it all works.

Yeah, it depends on what you're asking. Big blue is already (so always) band, but Mute city and Fountain of dreams are the most common otherwise. So it's Big blue, Mute city, and fountain of Dreams.
