Okay I have a question for those played FF13. Since this is the first time in five years I've played it, I forgot alot of it and I'm on Chapter 10. I'm not sure about the weapon system at the point where I'm a little confused. Upgrades are via items?

I personally think it's perfectly fine for Etika to talk about that stuff. It doesn't personally interest me too much but, ya know, sex sells.

In all honesty, don't worry too much about it until Chapter 11. In Chapter 11, the world gets real open and you can more easily find the materials you need and quite frankly, just settling for weapons from chests/shops is good enough for now.

Before that you are generally well set up for any challenges, it's just a matter of picking the "Optimise" option and understanding the battle mechanics.

Then the game literally turns into Xenoblade in Chapter 11. You get dumped in a wide open area and can go whatever way you feel like and most of the monsters you see are pretty tough so you need to start upgrading your characters and thinking about equipment more. Many of them will be nigh impossible to beat when you just start Chapter 11.

I apologize for nothing I said about the Smash Direct and I take back none of it. I completely stand by what I said and am still never buying the rest of the DLC. I hope the Bayonetta franchise crashes and burns, and I don't regret the posts I made about it.
