I just played a few days ago

walked into a room with 4 FOE and im pretty sure you're supposed to kill 3 of them with that praying mantis BS hanging over you.

I decided it was a good time to grind when the flying beetles were giving me trouble

Neither do I, but I want to help organize and be a part of that kind of project and junk.

I have no issue with helping . . .as long as no one expects me to be useful

Thanks for the advice! I've heard a lot about Wily Wars and figured it'd be the best option to get it since I haven't played any of the original Mega Man games other than the second one.

Now, about SNES cartridges not being able to fit into a Super Famicom. I've actually come up with a solution already.

I plan one getting one of these. This device is mainly just a flashcart, but it can also work as an import device. Once I buy this, I should be able to play NA SNES Cartridges on my SFC. I can also rip my game cartridge to an SD Card, which means I can finally play some ROM hacks I've been keeping an eye on. Although, I'm not going to download ROMs online. I'd rather have something physical .

To be fair though, you could have saved money by just removing the SNES tabs.

I will say that importing in the long run is a lot cheaper. Bought Rockman X3 for $20 vs. paying ~$130 for Megaman X3, the seller even threw in a copy of Mario & Wario for some random reason. lol

Repro carts take some of the fun out of collecting IMO, but at the same time I don't have many monetary commitments beyond student loans, for fun these are all the games I have that are over $80:

What floor are you on? Unless it's a boss(the first one is on the 5th floor), you should never, NEVER, and I mean NEVER, try to fight a FOE
There's always a puzzle you have to solve to get past them(usually by exploiting their movement patterns) but fighting them head on is NEVER the answer
Normally, you'll never be able to defeat a FOE when you first meet them, and you only even get a chance when you reach the Stratum's boss, but even then, they either have skills that need specific countering or attack in groups and believe me you don't want three Ragelopes ****** you at once
Also, they respawn after three days so beating them to progress is almost useless as you'll probably have to go back to town to heal
Anyways, I feel like this is relevant

I could have very well saved money that way, but the North American SNES just looks way too ugly IMO. To me, the Super Famicom looks more "appealing" I guess. It's just more colorful and elegant to look to me. So, to me, the fact that it was more expensive doesn't really matter in my opinion.

About your collection, that's actually a really good selection of games. Especially Gimmick! I've heard nothing but good things about that game .

Gimmick! was the most I've ever spent on a game, and it was surprisingly worth it. I never thought there would be an NES game that could compete for my affection given the monopoly Mega Man 1-6 have.

Here's a poorly done and unfinished concept I was cooking up some time ago.

Once the modding scene for Smash U/3DS really gets going, I think it'd be really interesting to see people meddling with custom moves. I can't mod, sadly, but I had the idea of giving the whole roster the Palutena/Mii treatment.

I thought about putting the Boomerang or Superballs as Mario's third neutral, but the boomerang is an item and superballs would be about as different from the fireballs as a regular custom move, just without the fire effects.

Notes on the moves I put:
Standard moves work like they already do.
Hammers are from the Hammer Suit in SMB3. They're stronger than fireballs but have more delay.
The hammer works like the one in Paper Mario on the ground, hold it then release to slam down. In the air, it acts like Squall Hammer.
Cloud Jump comes from the Cloud Flower in Galaxy 2. Instead of creating platforms (how broken would that be?), it springs Mario into the air. You can use the move three times before going into freefall, but you can't use specials out of it.
Hover Nozzle is basically a shorter version of R.O.B.'s recovery with added Greninja water antics.
Ground Pound and Tornado are self explanatory.

Fireball is Fireball
Thunderhand stays in place for a little bit, useful for traps
Strobe Light can be charged and you can move (But can't turn around) while charging, and causes stun (Bigger Range + More Stun from Longer Charge)

Side B:
Green Missile is Green Missile
Bros. Ball (Minus the "S.") bounces Luigi skyward, and then launches him forward on landing. Lots o' power, but can't be charged.
Golden Mushroom lets you use 12 boosts in a certain time limit, with 1 being a weak and short-ranged bunt, 12 being a powerful and long-ranged ram, and 13 past will make you fall on your face. After the time limit ends, all 12 uses are refreshed. The 12 Uses comes from Double Dash!!, as a Golden Mushroom in that game (Which it debuted in) gave you the productivity of 12 Mushrooms, whether you mash the button or use the uses one at a time.

Down B:
Luigi Cyclone is Luigi Cyclone
Green Thunder doesn't let you move, but has a powerful electric explosion once you strike that perfect pose.
Poltergust is a very quick spin, but you can hold the button to keep spinning as long as you want, and suck enemies in.

I couldn't think of anything, but recently I came up with this funny idea of a Flagpole sprouting under Luigi and him being dragged up as it grows. Other than that, I got no idea.

I Looooooooooooooooooooooooooved this game so much way back when I first got my Xbox.

Probably the bloodiest game I had played at that point other than Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks too.

I think I had like 7 different runs of the game and I loveed each time. Shame no one knows about it.

And from the looks of things it was quite pretty as well
