Well you can fight 'emIf by Pokemon, you mean movie prop, then sure.
Also Inkay/Malamar and Unbound Hoopa are actual Dark/Psychic types.
And if you cheat, you can catch them.
That's 2/2 requirements right dere

What's the mistletoe clause?Okay, I edited an old trailer concept a bit for this, so here's a hypothetical trailer. I think it turned out okay.
Smash logo and flames appear.
The trailer takes on a comic-like style, similar to Little Mac's. This music fades in. Suddenly, in the streets, you see folks running away from blasts of ice, screaming. You then see the cause of the ice projectiles...
...Samus. She's trying to shoot down Metroid who only now appear on-screen. Then, a different alien (let's say, a Prowler) comes in and strikes. Samus' Ice Beam does nothing, and right as she's reloading, a couple of notes from The Star Spangled Banner start playing on an electric guitar.
"LET FREEDOM RING!"
The alien gets blown up and upon the smoke clearing, Henry Fleming appears holding his Eagle Rifle. The camera pans toward him.
Henry Fleming
LETS OFF SOME STEAM!
Gameplay ensues.
The music playing is a remix of the Alternate Main Menu theme, be it with vocals or as an instrumental remix. Fleming's moveset consists of conserving steam (shown in a Steam Meter above the HUD) for higher attack power, combining resource management with intricate shooting and military-inspired normals. This is a fully voiced trailer a la Robin and Lucina's, Corrin's, Little Mac's, and Palutena's, with Abe Lincoln and John Henry speaking with Henry Fleming over the wireless, explaining Fleming's gameplay.
A new stage is also shown off: the Lady Liberty. This is a touring-type stage in which players travel to key locations in the game, such as Buckingham Palace, the streets of Boston, andwith the stage transitions being represented by the flipping of a comic book page.Oz
Toward the end there is an in-game battle with Henry Fleming, Marth, and Lucina, as well as the John Henry Assist Trophy, in a team battle striking a pose, referencing a possible team combination from his game of origin.
The final cinematic shows Henry and Samus saluting each other as Henry then takes his steam-powered jetpack and flies back toward the Lady Liberty.
I actually really liked the movie prop enemies
(This is also a Pokemon, not Dark-Psychic, but a Pokemon)
So here's a fun little exercise. Take an eligible character that you'd like to see appear in Smash one day, and make them a reveal trailer! I'm curious to see what some people come up with. I'll post mine in a bit.
EDIT: Mods are, of course, exempt from the Mistletoe Clause.
Let's not forget Volcorona who Is bug and fire...Dark Fighting's been done by Scrafty, which is conflicting since Fighting types are supposed to be honorable martial artists while Dark has dirty tactics.
And then there's Ludicolo's Grass-Water, which makes sense considering it's a Lillypad Kappa. There's also Gliscor with Ground-Flying, too.
Mega Tangrowth anyone?I feel like that middle one should actually be a Pokemon
because
why not
Just so you know, it's Louis. The trailer starts out with a comic book art style like Little Mac's trailer. We see what seems to be an empty training room. It then pans over a door opening, as we start to hear someone talking as they walk down a flight of stairs.
"You know, after seeing you going against all those strange fighters, I think it's time I get in their and show them how to train up: Old school style!"
The figure next to this man emerges, and it's none other than Little Mac. We then see him nod his head confidently in response.
"Before I get in the ring, I think it's time for the student to teach the master."
Cue a montage of Little Mac training his long time friend, all ending with Mac riding his bicycle down New York with his friend slowly following behind.
We then cut to game play of of Smash 5 as we see some fighters battling it out. Suddenly, we get a close up of a foot slamming down with this mysterious person saying, "Ding Ding!"
"Doc Lewis Weighs Into Battle!"
Cue gameplay of Doc's moveset and final smash.
The trailer then ends with Doc Lewis standing in front of knocked out opponents as he eats a chocolate bar in victory.
I think this came out alright, though kinda sloppy. I made it up as I went along, but it did make me appreciate how I would really like to see Doc Lewis playable in Smash.
She should be a champion, not a gym leader tbh.In terms of creating a Pokéverse out of Smash characters, I think it's more fun to try and imagine the humanoid characters as trainers/gym leaders.
Like so:
(Art isn't mine, belongs to "askthegrandstar" on tumblr)
"Starry-Eyed, Gym Leader Rosalina"
6 Pokémon Team:
-Gardevoir (obvious one, a lot of people think Gardevoir is what Rosalina would look like if she was a Pokémon)
-Mewtwo (I personally think as characters they would have an interesting relationship, but they both have psychic-esque powers so they work no matter what. Also Mewtwo's attacks sometimes have a space/cosmic aesthetic)
-Cubone (their backstories work perfectly together. Cubone is an orphan, Rosalina is too but is also a mother now. She'd probably take one under her wing)
-Greninja (I think she should have a Water Pokémon due to her having the Water element in Puzzles & Dragons, and as I mentioned before, I think it makes sense for her to have some dark types. I choose Greninja in part because Rosalina is athletic and agile like a ninja, so yeah, I wanted to give her one Pokémon with a focus on CQC attacks who could be agile)
-Palkia (represents space. Also Water type, so it works. I won't give her any other Legendary/God like Pokémon since that might be too OP)
-Jigglypuff (honestly kind of a random choice. They're cute and squishy like Lumas, I guess)
I wasn't basing this on anything other than "what Pokémon might she like/resonate with?", so I don't care for anything like "WELL ACTUALLY ALL GYM LEADERS ARE SUPPOSED TO USE POKÉMON OF THE SAME ELEMEEEEENT" or anything like that.
Probably, but that's just the title the artist of the picture gave it.She should be a champion, not a gym leader tbh.
1. Calm the hell down man. . .WHAT IN THE ****ING ****!?
WHAT ****ING TRAVISTY OF A COMMERCIAL WAS THIS!? WHAT IN GOD'S NAME WERE THEY THINKING!? IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE ACTUAL SOURCE MATERIAL!!!
My reaction was clearly over exaggerated (Or so I thought...), it's been edited though to show what I really thought, lol.1. Calm the hell down man. . .
2. Im pretty sure nothing about this has to do with Goldensun sun (although I know the chandelier dragon was added later) but it was cool enough to get SOME people's attention
3. 90% of older commercials made no ****ing sense anyway. At least this one gave us violin fore arrows (badass) and a summon that actually made it into the game.
4. I really need to get back to Goldensun. .even if my backlog is huge.
Well, they were introduced to balance DragonsI always heard it was a counter to Dragon and not Dark. Sorry, I'm not much of a Pokémon guy anymore (I mean I'm practically an inoffensive genwunner at this point, lol).
I still think they should just make a "Light" one, it's much simpler.
There are so many grass/poison I'm not sure that counts. Besides, it kind of works good together toxic and leech seedYeah, there's been plenty. Electric/Water types, Grass/Poison types, Dark/Psychic, Water/Grass, Ice/Dragon, Ground/Flying, etc.
At this point there's only 38 type combinations that haven't been used. And then there's another 5 that I usually lump in with that of ones that are only used by Megas and Rotom Formes, but not individual unique Pokemon. I think within another generation or two we may well see every type combination filled.
Mario, Sonic, Mega Man and Pac-Man all begin to duke it out. Then suddenly an unknown figure comes out from the shadows, and knocks them all out. It's then revealed to be...So here's a fun little exercise. Take an eligible character that you'd like to see appear in Smash one day, and make them a reveal trailer! This because Paper Mario:What's the Japanese commercial like anyway?
It... Makes less sense then the English one... Anyone got some weird commercials they'd like to share?
Dat goat tho... That was a mighty fine goat. This because Paper Mario:
And this because I don't need to explain it......
Good times.WHAT IN THE ...!?
WHAT IS THIS!? WHAT ARE THOSE!?
And I wouldn't have it any other way.Video game commericals has always been strange for a lack of a better word.
You've honestly never seen strange until you've seen this,Video game commericals has always been strange for a lack of a better word.
If you mean that as in you're feeling unwell, tell your parents/whoever you occupy your house with, or see a doctor if you can.Wow guys, I'm really feeling zoned out... Just feel kinda weird...
I guess it's because of lack of sleep, as I've been getting to bed late, gonna get to bed early this time.If you mean that as in you're feeling unwell, tell your parents/whoever you occupy your house with, or see a doctor if you can.
I've had a lot of late nights/sleepless nights lately too.I guess it's because of lack of sleep, as I've been getting to bed late, gonna get to bed early this time.
Yeah, I think that'll help. I'll go to bed pretty soon from now.I've had a lot of late nights/sleepless nights lately too.
The best, low effort thing I suggest you do is make sure you stop eating and drinking anything but water an hour before you plan to go to bed, and do your best to restrain yourself from doing anything too stimulating on the brain. Listening to some chill, relaxing music, or maybe chatting with someone are good examples. And of course brushing your teeth before going to bed or simply tidying up things are other good things that can be included in that hour.
It's kind of funny that the type does pretty much play that role as the Fairies of old lore were far from being unanimously good and could be very tricky and cruel. Pokémon admittedly does lean far into the more modern portrayal and makes them more cutesy and kind (which also makes the type monotonous overall), but you still get those like Mawile, who takes more from the Fair Folk interpretation.Well, they were introduced to balance Dragons
But they work as the "Light" type anyways
Lol Bowser's holding Peach over a shredder. That's both messed up and hilarious. This because Paper Mario:

I think @MegaMarioMan9 mentioned that if he was in smash, his announcer voice should be the voice when he breaks out the windowLol Bowser's holding Peach over a shredder. That's both messed up and hilarious.

That would be a funny callback if he got into Smash.I think @MegaMarioMan9 mentioned that if he was in smash, his announcer voice should be the voice when he breaks out the window
Like idk, but this commercial is by far the weirdest paper mario one, I watched all jp and us one and it;s really the most hilarious.
However, the TTYD one and the SS one are really good, I guess that;s one good thing about SS
Spm is just only gameplay or one of these "we would like to play" which is so unfitting for a freaking single player game (literally, you cannot play more than one player).
Savage/10A Certain Someone said:Anyone else think it's really cool when video game developers add stuff to their game in memory or tribute of a loss that has occurred in real life?
I think it's really great when developers throw things like that into their game. You know, sort of like virtual mementos. A good example is a place known as the Shrine of the Fallen in World of WarCraft, which was secretly added to the game after the loss of the artist Michel Koiter.
So I was rather pleased when I saw Delusion Mountain, a landmark in Xenoblade Chronicles X. I thought it was a really nice way to pay respects to the countless hours people wasted ever thinking characters like King K Rool, Ridley, or Bandana Dee would ever be playable in a Super Smash Bros.
Kudos to Nintendo.

yeah, this is the SS one, it;s really good, I might say it might be the best:That would be a funny callback if he got into Smash.
And at least they got better with time.
