At this point the only think I can think of, and not related to characters, is making another handheld version because easier development.

Veterans are good cuz who knows what did change about them? Are they still good? Do they suck?

All I'm expecting as a base for the presentation is two more ballot-inspired characters, one or two related stages, and another meh set of Mii costumes, all to be released immediately, or at least within the next couple months.

On a random note, I had a half-lucid dream this morning where Paper Mario and Waluigi were the two characters revealed. The former was surprisingly relatively uninspired, mostly based on SS, and the latter pretty much had Mewtwo's moveset for some reason. And because dream logic, I was somehow more OK with Waluigi-Mewtwo than a character I've wanted since Brawl. What has speculation done to my mind?

I have a choir concert the day of the direct, but I'm able to watch it during break (have about an hour before I need to actually start getting ready). I'm disappointed I can't watch it with my friends to hear our reactions, but I did the exact same thing during the one from November of last year, so no problem. I guess if I was able to contain my hype for Mewtwo, I could do the same here.

Ehh, the only current franchise I can think of is Splatoon. For dead franchises there's Advance Wars, Golden Sun, and for casual there's Nintendogs and the Wii series.

Maybe there'll be more new IP's, but the newest ones are Code Name Steam, Splatoon, and if it counts, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker.

I honestly don't have any character predictions for the direct, nor do I care to make any. We'll get some details on Cloud obviously, get whatever characters and stages we get, hopefully a new mode or two, and he'll show off some upcoming Smash Amiibo and say farewell.

There is one different thing I think we'll see though:

A mention of or tribute to Iwata.

Before anyone says "GAWWWW, IT'S BEEN MONTHS PEOPLE SHOULD BE OVER IT", keep in mind Sakurai and Iwata were dear friends, and not only that, but Iwata is a big, direct part of the reason every Smash game exists, not to mention the DLC plan and the ballot. Iwata is nearly as big a part of the series as Sakurai is. For that reason, I think Sakurai may pay tribute in his own way.

How he'll do it? I really don't know, it could just be a mention, he might play a little video in tribute to him involving Smash characters he was involved with, or he may just reminisce about him with us. I wouldn't even be surprised if he made an in-game trophy of him.

So yeah that's the only thing I am directly predicting really.

The best thing they can do is make it clear as possible that it's the end so we can avoid neverending DLC speculation like Mario Kart 8's.

@PushDustIn: Hey push. I have a quick question for you guys. So, the final presentation for Smash is obviously coming up. In the next couple of days, GameXplain will have a predictions discussion about the Direct.

Would it be possible for you to maybe contact them and see if they could have you as well as maybe some of the SG crew on that discussion at all? It would be really cool to see happen! It could definitely give some more publicity to your website.

If you are posting a leak regarding any upcoming Smash content, please spoiler it and say that the spoiler contains a leak. No matter how real or fake you think it is. And ESPECIALLY if it's definitely real.

I hope no leaks happen, but if they do, I don't want to see them. This is Sakurai's final presentation to us, not just for this game, but possibly ever.

I really don't want that ruined.

So yeah it'd be great if you guys do that. And any mods/admins/writing staff who may read this, I ask you do the same if ye make a front page article on a leak. IIRC, the front page article for the Ryu and Roy leak wasn't spoiler'd, and was cut and dry as to what it was. However, pre-release leaks on the front page were spoiler'd. So for this one, if the writing staff is reporting a leak, please do it like how you guys did in the pre-release days. I really want this direct to be special, if not for everyone, than at least I don't want it ruined for me.

This will also clue me in to basically abstain from internet use until the direct.

Looking forward to seeing the Pokkén character reveal today which is most certainly Sceptile. Also, the new VGC 2016 rules are crazy. Previously banned legendaries, Primal Evolutions and Mega Rayquaza are now viable? Dear lawd this is gonna be a very insane year for Pokemon next year. RIP my Mega Lopunny team that I ran this year. At the very least Thundurus and Landorus are more viable now, haha...
