I'm not sure I'm necessarily a fully fledged Nintendo collector myself.

I collect Amiibos (mainly the Smash ones) because I've wanted real life Smash trophies since I was like, 12. And they do stuff in games.
I collect Rosalina merchandise now because she's the bae, but also in part because I actually ended up with half of it for free anyway.
And I have a sort of Smash display set up. I want to get a few more things for that.

I'm considering getting more Sonic and Kingdom Hearts stuff because those are my two favourite game franchises alongside Smash, though. I actually saw a pretty cute Sonic Boom plushie at Smyths when I was getting the Yarn Yoshis today.

Besides all that though, any Nintendo merch I have is just stuff I wanted as an isolated thing, not as part of a larger collection. And some of it is just freebies.

2. Cut Melee characters that were brought back in smash4 must have a major role as well.
3. 1st party characters from smash 4 that were in existence before Brawl's release () must have a role in the story.
4. You can add and if you want.

5. The most important rule. All characters must be introduced, before you enter Subspace.

6. This still has the same story as the original so you can't change the actual story too much, but you can incorporate more characters into the story, and give characters bigger roles than what they had in the first subspace.

Some of these rules kinda feel contradictory/counterproductive.

Like I don't know how certain characters could be implemented into the original Subspace story without totally breaking their character traits or screwing things up for other characters. Most notably Palutena and Rosalina.

Sonic is also sketchy since it's known SEGA/Sonic Team has a "Sonic bible" of sorts, that defines how various things about how Sonic stuff should and shouldn't be used. Many other characters Nintendo themselves have probably got this.

Also some things would have to be flat out re-written altogether.

If we got a brand new Subspace-esque mode, it'd probably have it's own original story, or flat out have nothing more than a basic "plot" to drive you without any real cutscenes, and would just have an opening and an ending and a few small event scenes here and there.

One of my dream wishes for a DLC mode, would be for them to simply port the Subspace Emissary into Smash 4. It doesn't have to have cutscenes, just the levels, or at least some of the best ones, maybe some of the Melee Adventure mode levels too. I don't think it'd be too hard for them.

You can always tell how many cats a person owns just by looking at how many collectibles they have out in the open. I only have about 13 Amiibo myself and I can't put any of them anywhere without my cats pushing them onto the floor.
