I personally know a guy who regularly places 3rd out of our group of 50+ tourney entrants with and .

Let me tell you his game is some of the scariest to fight against. I'd swear this guy invented half the tech I've seen him use, especially in the ways he uses Greninja's recovery and all the combos out of snagging someone with the hitbox on Lucario's aura sphere charge. It's nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Actually going back to competitive Smash for a bit, seeing in the top 10 for some players is surprising considering how people complained about his nerfs when he's still a dangerous character but with non of the Brawl BS.

Also, folks don't sleep on characters like and , those two have the most unexplored meta as of late and it really hurts for Greninja because people dropped him because of the quick nerfs when I believe he's still a top 10 character. And being top 10 fits.

Yeah, those nerfs did hurt, but if I'm to be honest, I think the stigma did more damage then the actual nerfs as his meta couldn't adapt to them for a long time. So I'm glad that Greninja is getting more attention nowadays, especially in Japan where you have players like Some who are really pushing the character to his limits.

If he did it's pretty understandable; focusing in two games at the same time could make things harder for him.

IIRC he didn't make it to top 32 in Smash 4 at EVO and maybe Melee too. I could be wrong with Melee.

Diddy is underated as hell.
Pit, Greninja, Falcon, Yoshi... kind of character you can't sleep on.
In the actual meta I would call them what a old brawl tierlist said as "borderline" or "upper mid".
They're not developed enough but are a threat and can play at high-level even if their chances of sucess aren't that high. Put them together with mid tier seems wrong to me.
I don't see enough results to group them with high tier material as MK... but is obviously they have potential to be showed.

I always thought Little Mac was good, it just took forever to master him. It's fall off from the 'button mashing' to the 'have half an idea' stages that gave him a bad rep.

He said the worst thing about it was how actually getting Yokai was tedious as **** (it works similar to SMT's Demon Negotiation mechanic, so I can imagine the frustration)
