I have a mighty desire for Mega Breloom, Mega Claydol, and Mega Reuniclus.
I also saw a mega Wobuffet fan-art that made my want that too.

Seriously guys, look up Mega Claydol and Mega Wobuffet on google images. Its great.

im still gonna call "Ash" greninja, mega greninja...atleast untill you can prove it otherwise
Ash-greninja is a mega evolution...but is a special case...not all Greninja can transform into this form unlike for other megas...

From my understanding, Ash Greninja is a Mega Evolution, just doesn't require a stone. It's even more of one than the Primal Evolutions, which are basically Mega Evolutions with different names.
Primals are sort of a reverse mega... as the Primal form is essentially the pokemon in its original form, its 'former glory' rather than just gaining power from its mega stone...that's why its called Primal Reversion...

Hoopa and Hoopa Unbound is actually a similar case...but is neither a primal or mega...

Aerodactyl is also an example of "reverse evolution". That's supposed to be its true form. Or that was the theory, anyway.

Maybe Genesect could get a Primal Evolution? It'd fit, since it was modified after being reanimated by Team Plasma.

Unannounced Pokémon in a trailer? Neat! Kinda makes me think of a goat.
I was thinking that too! Those horns make it appear more goat-like to me, not to mention it looks like it has hooves.

So I was wondering just now. . .

What would each of you consider to be the perfect video game?

It can be an already existing one or a hypothetical concept, just whatever pops into your head as being the closest to your perfect ideal.

I would say perfection depends on the genre of the game. Not sure if I could define a perfect game in general.

Good point, although some people tend to have more narrow views than others.

What do you think would make particularly good examples of genres you are familiar with, then?

This is a tough one to wrangle.

But what I expect out of video games depend on the genre. I like my platformers to have good level design, shooters to have great weapon variety, fighting games to have deep mechanics, and so on. Some short games can be redeemable if they are fun. But if they are an unfinished mess with terrible design choices like Zip Lash, then it isn't worth my time. Overall, I want a complete game with a great experience unlike a certain unfinished Sonic game.

I don't think I could ever say any game is perfect. However, what I do consider to be a good game is any game where you have alot of fun playing it, you take a break from it later and then later in life:
-You wish to play the game again, you play it again and you still have fun.
-You ended up trading/selling/etc that game and then later, your head is going, "Why did you even think that was a good idea?", you end up finding another copy, you get it, you play it and have fun again.

That's my interpretation of a good game, is a game that makes you want to play it again later or make you regret trading it or makes you want to play it again in general. To me, a good game is a game that makes you want to keep it and keep playing. Add things that add to what keeps you playing(whether it'd be multiple characters, multiple choices, extra modes or other similar things) and you got yourself a great game IMO.

Once again, Game Freak disappoints me.

Might as well make my trainer a brunette like the last time.

Take a 16-but Genesis/SNES graphics game
Add gameplay from Megaman X with the speed and momentum of Sonic
Have a hip-hop/techno/rock theme soundtrack with 16-bit Soundchips
Have the theme of the game be cyberpunk
And wrap it all together with a nice bow.

Or Smash Bros gameplay with Disney/Marvel/Star Wars characters with a single player mode like Melee's Adventure Mode

For me? My perfect game would be a platformer, with vast, open levels with plenty to do, and tons of replayability.

You know, while I love both Rowlet and Popplio and plan on using both, screw it. I'm starting with Popplio. The poor little guy doesn't get any love. :/

It's an adorable baby circus sealion what is wrong with people?

metroid prime

But seriously its highly subjective, and highly dependant on the genre and how the game is handled...

Some say it needs to have an in depth story...but yet Tetris is viewed as one of the greatest video games ever made and it has practically zero story...

Its a combination of many things...
-Gameplay
-Replayability
-Concept
-Sometimes story
-Sometimes design
-Sometimes music
-Sometimes immersion

----

In other news I watched video recently which pointed out a bunch of random details from the sun and moon info we got and it pointed out something interesting regarding Litten's design...its tail resembles a bomb fuse in a way which is interesting considering the pattern on its forehead resembling the symbol for sulfur, as sulfur is a common ingredient used in many explosives...in addition to the flammable oils in its fur...

This may reinforce a possible Poison type if Litten's 'gimmick' will be centred around explosives...

I'm hoping eventually Pokemon will just let you pick eye, skin, and hair color independently right off the bat and then just leave you to buy your new clothes yourself like most games with custom characters. It'd get rid of most of the complaints (assuming they didn't have some glaring omission or other, of course) and it probably wouldn't even be too much harder to implement than the existing recolor sets.

I can see it aesthetically looking much nicer into the trainer creation system than the current "select a photo" method, so I really think it could only be a plus.

Ah well, I guess it's just up to we the fandom to cross our fingers and keep asking.

As for the perfect game discussion. . .let's see. . .

Perhaps Champ Gold Champ Gold and SegaNintendoUbisoft SegaNintendoUbisoft 's platformer ideals could be wrapped in the same package.

And A Distant Demon A Distant Demon 's idea is perfect and can do no wrong. :awesome:

. . .But just to be on the safe side, considering AwesomeAussie27 AwesomeAussie27 's comment about weapon variety making shooters great, despite it not strictly being a shooter maybe adding a few extra weapon classes to the hypothetical sequel concept would be a good idea. We've already got a nice selection, but no use letting it stagnate sitting there without shipping in a fresh stock of weapon categories from Dyntos.

Other than that, the mentions seem vague enough that there's no real specific guideline as to what would work. Clearly many of us including myself work more off of gut feelings than general criteria when imagining a perfect game, but there's still enough chance that someone might have a more specific idea that it's still worth poking around once in a while to see what everyone might like.

also because of disney infinity dying capcom could feesibly make marvel vs capcom 4(because of how disney is going forward with videogames in that they wont be doing them in house so people can buy the rights to characters)
Literally the only possible positive to come out of it. :p

An MVC4 would be awesome, and on par with a hypothetical Nintendo vs Capcom for me. Wonder who'd be kept/added/cut.

No glitches, tons of fun, addicting, with good graphics and good decisions, nothing to complain about.

That depends if Marvel wants it.

When they moved to mobile and have to make their own video games weren't Disney's choice but Marvel's choice.

I still want instead a Disney/Marvel/Star Wars fighting came Crossover instead.

And it doesn't have to be a Smash clone
