I mean he didn't get a trophy the first time and considering he was pretty popular maybe Sakurai wanted to give his fans a consolation prize? I dunno.

Let's be honest.
In Melee, I could kinda get it.
He was the first non-Kirby to be playable.
And a weird little goop creature with a Yoshi-tier tongue and possibly taking bits from either Kirby abilities not used or flat-out animal buddies...
I can see where they'd be going FROM.
But yeah seeing it today is shocking.

Pikachu was a normal pikachu but it had loving memories of Tim's dad. When the car Crashes, Harry( TIm's dad) never has his body found. However the pikachu survives the crash and then it has the memories of his journey with Harry, harry died and his spirit is actually inside pikachu. However it doesn't know this. That's why only Tim understands it.

It's actually a bit dark but almost touching in a way to.
