This is an interesting aspect of Dedede's game that hasn't been explored very much.

Some swallowcide setups
  • Dthrow
  • Bthrow
  • Fthrow
  • Dtilt
  • Ledgehop
  • Others?

Options Dedede has from a setup
  • Walkoff inhale
  • Shorthop inhale
  • Fullhop inhale
  • B reversed inhale
  • Others?

Frame/hitbox Data
(If anyone has this, please let me know)

Other tips
  • If you vary your timing and trajectory when going for a swallowcide, it can be harder for your opponent to predict it.
  • Mixing in swallowcides with more conventional edgeguarding options is a good way to keep your opponent guessing.
  • Only swallowcide when you have the percentage or stock lead.
  • If you hear your opponent mashing buttons, spit them out. They might buffer a laggy aerial and fall to their doom.
  • Don't swallowcide when you are at very low %s: "If they manage to escape, they can footstool you to your death if you are too low."(Raimundo)

Edit: I just noticed CO18's guide has a swallowcide section... Oh well, if anyone has any ideas or data, feel free to post them here.

Yea, but the problem with Swallowcide, it is easy to escape from. If they manage to escape, they can footstool you to your death if too low.

Rversed B-swallowcide is very unpredictable, especially when you fall down toward your opponent juste like you'd fastfall-bair him.
