The Eternal Will of the Swarm
Marth was in the first Fire Emblem I played, so I don't really like the idea of replacing him

Well, they are both save the princess games back then, because in the 80s, story did not matter as much as it does today. Today, creating a character like Bowser Jr. is looked down upon more than it was back then. I mean honestly, how many retro games have completely cliched characters and stories? Besides, Smash is all about popularity. Bowser Jr. is simply not popular (For obvious reasons). I guess you can counter this argument by saying that Mario Sunshine is being represented even though it was unpopular. Well, Nintendo won't ignore a major game in it's most popular series just, because it wasn't loved by all. This does not mean they need to include a character who fans care nothing for.all in all, i think this is another good list. the only part i thought was odd was that you just shrugged off every fact about bowser Jr. and said "he is a huge cliche, and he sucks." if nintendo cared about cliches, then why are 2 of their top franchises (Mario and Zelda) both "save the princess" games? despite this, all of your other choices are well backed up with facts . good job
on a side note, I'm a huge FE fan who was introduced to the series by Marth and Roy in melee. so, in my opinion, i sadly think that it is impossible to tell whether or not Marth will be in brawl. it will depend on how Ike plays, and by the time we know that, we will own the game. if Ike is light, they will cut Marth and put in The Black Knight as the second character as a heavy. if Ike is medium-heavy, Marth will more than likely be back and faster than before. Micahiah is a good "idea" but i still have my doubts.
Sakurai said Snake will be unlockable himself. o______oUMMMMM!!! ARE YOU ****ING CRAZY?!?!?!? SNAKE UNLOCKABLE????? You make me laugh little girl!!!
Shiek was only in one gameMidna & Wolf Link- Although, they are from the newest game in the series (Which Brawl is taking all it's Zelda content from), Midna was only in one game in the series. She was not important enough to warrant a playable spot. Besides, anyone who beat Twilight Princess knows that they made it impossible for her to ever be in another game.
Except the Zelda's are all different people. >_>Technically, Sheik was in ALL the Zelda games, because Sheik IS Zelda.
Arguably the meaning of "Different people"Except the Zelda's are all different people. >_>
Yea because Tingle is the most logical playable character in the world...This thread is made out of logic, not bias.
Um... I'm confused by this. That sentence doesn't really make any sense, and your attempt to sound all profound isn't really working.Arguably the meaning of "Different people"
Quit lying to yourself. A list made without bias is very hard if not impossible to do, and honestly, yours is obviously very biased. This thread is made out of logic, not bias.
What makes you think I was trying to sound "profound"...I was just using horrible grammer because I forgot how to say it. I still say they have the same soul as eachother and the power of the triforce of wisdom, making them the same person with different bodies and mids.Um... I'm confused by this. That sentence doesn't really make any sense, and your attempt to sound all profound isn't really working.
There are different "Zelda"s in the many games of the Legend of Zelda series. If you honestly want to believe that the Wind Waker Zelda is the same as the Ocarina of Time Zelda you are nothing but a fool.
On the other hand, this Zelda in SSBB could very well be representing Zeldas of the whole series, in that case Sheik would make sense, but if Zelda is really representing her TP self, then she can non transform into Sheik.

Well seeing as how she uses dijns fire(or whatever) and her other OOT moves, shes obviously representing all Zeldas. On the other hand, this Zelda in SSBB could very well be representing Zeldas of the whole series, in that case Sheik would make sense, but if Zelda is really representing her TP self, then she can non transform into Sheik.
I would like for you to state how any of my points are biased. Most, if not all points made in this thread all have been researched.Quit lying to yourself. A list made without bias is very hard if not impossible to do, and honestly, yours is obviously very biased.
Tingle was under the iffy catagory. And the fact that he had his own game makes him more likely. This gives him more inspiration to use for a moveset.Yea because Tingle is the most logical playable character in the world...
And Roy still canceled out the "only in 1 game cant be in" theory.
Ur right i guess, hes technically possible, but him never being in actual combat tho makes me think he almost has zero chance.Tingle was under the iffy catagory. And the fact that he had his own game makes him more likely. This gives him more inspiration to use for a moveset.
Wow what stupid reasoning. Is that the best argument you have? How pathetic.Ur right i guess, hes technically possible, but him never being in actual combat tho makes me think he almost has zero chance.
That and tingle's a gay transvestite that nobody likes.Wow what stupid reasoning. Is that the best argument you have? How pathetic.

Not only does that not have the person I want...It has Marvel, DC, 8-bit versians, and many other horrible suggestionsI think we can all agree that a roster looking like this is only in our fantasys...

I am glad you actually took the time to type all that out instead of sayig "Your roster sucks, because _______ isn't on the list!"Lol, the roster's got Vader
Your roster is the best I've seen so far, but I do disagree with a lot of it. Marth deserves a spot over Black Knight, and besides, FE is pretty popular- it might have 3 reps. Sigurd is also very popular, but he seems like he'd be similar to Marth- then again, this is Sakurai, I'm sure he could have come up with a moveset for another sword user. And Sigurd could use his lance. Thankfully you said Roy gets the boot however- it makes me sick to see a roster with Roy in it.
Lucas I agree with- chances are he's replacing Ness. I doubt Olimar will be a starter, but he'll definately be in. Ray 01 I don't want so badly, but I do understand his chances. I doubt he'll be a starter though. I don't think Ridley will be a starter, and I really don't think DeDeDe will be, as they wouldn't have 3 Kirby characters and all of them starters. Honestly I was suprised Meta Knight was even a starter. However, as for their inclusion, I agree with all your starters.
Now your unlockables... I think Marth will make a return, especially considering there was a clone based on him. Mario, Falcon, Pikachu, and Fox all made a return. Why not Marth. That's not to say Black Knight or Micahiah don't have a chance though. FE is fairly popular- I can see 3 reps. Krystal will probably be in, but I think Falco will make a decloned return too. 3 reps for Star Fox isn't too bad- it's a longstanding Nintendo series. Dedede I agree with obviously. I've never played Super Mario RPG, so I don't really know much about Geno, and can't say whether I think he'll be in or not. Metroid deserves a second rep, and Ridley's the obvious choice. I have no idea who Takamaru is, so I can't really argue for him. Little Mac would be a nice retro choice, though I'd prefer Balloon Fighter over him. If Lucas is in, I would assume Claus would be. Besides, Earthbound deserves a second rep. I don't really know who Isaac is, but he's popular, so why not. Sukapon would be hilarious, but I doubt his chances. I have no idea who Demiru is.
For the third parties, Sonic, duh, Megaman, obvious.
Once again, Marth deserves a spotI would love to see Tingle- but if Balloon fighter's in he might end up being a clone. Lolo, meh. I would like to see Balloon fighter- he's a great retro choice, and would have an interesting moveset. Mach Rider, meh, his motorcycle would be hard to incorporate (can motorcycles jump?), and it'd be weird to have a moveset for him without it, as his entire game has him on his motorcycle (I think). Never heard of Kalas. I've heard of Kos-Mos, but don't really know who she is. Andy is from a important series, but seems hard to incorporate as a character- I think he'd be better suited to a AT, calling in a bombing squad or artillery or something. Never heard of Jill, but she seems better suited to a AT.
Pichu I agree with. Roy I agree with. I'd say Ness has a 50/50 chance of being replaced or staying, or maybe even having Lucas as a alt costume. Dr. Mario should be an alt costume. Y. Link I agree with, though I could see WW Link working. I think Falco could easily be decloned, and deserves a spot over Wolf, or even over Krystal- he was in the series way before her. I can see Lucario working, but that would be a lot of pokemon reps... I'd still say he has good chances though. Wolf has great potential- but he's got too much competition in Falco and Krystal- unless there's 4 Star Fox reps, I don't think he's in. I despise Dark Samus, and although she could have a Phazon based moveset, three versions of Samus is a bit too much. Ridley deserves the spot over her anyway. Bowser Jr. I think has a chance of being in, and the Dark Mario transformation would be nice. I would prefer Stafy over Sukapon or the other Japan-only characters you mentioned- I would be very happy if Stafy was in. Bomberman also has great potential, but because of the small amount of 3rd party spots, he is outcompeted by the likes of Sonic and Megaman. I agree, Konami doesn't deserve two of the 3rd party spots, and I don't like Simon much anyway. I also wouldn't like Midna and Wolf Link.
Well, that's it. I'm tired of typing too![]()
The only reason I don't want Bowser Jr. is that he isn't a character that really should be in this game. I mean if Samurai Goroh wasn't good enough, why should Bowser Jr? One Bowser is enough please. One thing is you flat out stated that in an earlier post that you left out Bowser Jr. out because you think he is lame.
I'm sorry, but everything about what you said about Bowser Jr. is your bias. I'm sure there are Bowser Jr. fans out there. He maybe "cliche", but is that not what the whole Mario series is?
From what I have come to understand, Dark Samus is Metroid Prime enfused with Phazon. From what I have learned from playing MP3, Phazon as a weapon is still just a beam of energy. I don't really see how having two characters with beam attacks would be good for the game. Especially when Megaman is likely. We only need one blue bomber please.Coherant, I suppose, although you *really* need to rethink your reasons for why Dark Samus won't be in. If you even knew the first thing about Metroid Prime, you'd know that Dark Samus' only similarity to Samus is aesthetic. A completely different character, and fairly likely considering she's the main antagonist from Metroid Prime, and Ridley has a good chance of being a boss.
He fights in his game. Not in Zelda, but you fight enemies in Tingle for the DS.Ur right i guess, hes technically possible, but him never being in actual combat tho makes me think he almost has zero chance.
Yeah, I guess you are right on that one. I would argue, though, that in all-around popularity, an AC rep has a better chance then a custom robo character. Americans and Japanese love AC, only Japanese love custom robo. Finally someone agreed with me on BJ.
But Custom robo is a big franchise for nintendo is japan and it has a great chance of getting in weather you like it or not.
I actually bought the DS version, and didn't think it was very fun. It's a series that has potential, though.Americans only don't love CR, because we got the crappy GC version and the unnoticed DS version.
