With the International release for Super Smash Bros. for 3DS withint our grasps, users are going to soon have their hands on this precious game and the information will come spilling forth. The Japanese release gave us a whole bunch of info on how this game will be and the content that lies within but it wasn't accessible to the boards as a whole. With this game now available to a majority of the users on this site, this will be the place to discuss the game, the characters, the mechanics, and anything and everything else. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

1) Keep discussion civil and on-topic. Do not spam this thread nor do not give false information.
2) Try to respect other opinions. No flaming or trolling of other members.
3) This is not a thread to voice your opinions on the game. This is for the discussion of the release and the information presented.

just finished playing sense midnight, 3ds needs to charge lol, the game is definatly fun. got all characters and stages unlocked and im gonna hit for glory later. so far so good =D

I just got Mew out of a Pokeball, and got a Milestone notice to confirm it, but nothing's changed and Google doesn't help on this one. Any idea what Mew does in SSB4..?

I mean... I'm a bit tired of Classic or Smash Run.

I ran into someone in For Glory 1-on-1 who after a few matches started giving me free wins. I do not know why he was doing this but as a voice of concern i wanted to let folks know that...that behavoir can be seen as abusive for the ranking system and could possibly lead to getting banned. If anyone sees a player doing this for whatever reason i would advise you leave the room out of caution. No reason to taint your score with false wins.

I don't know where to put this but I encountered something really weird while playing as Dr. Mario on the final destination version of Wily's Castle.

The remixed mega man 2 theme was playing and I picked up a golden hammer but the music (for the hammer) didn't start playing, in fact the stage music stopped altogether even after I had finished using the hammer.

Then at the end of the match the announcer said "Game! Player!".

Well, it's a Smash Bros. game, so there's that. Obviously it's good, and you'll love it if you liked Brawl. It's a teeny tiny bit faster than Brawl but saying it's right between Melee and Brawl in terms of speed is a bit much.

If you're going to get the Wii U version anyway and don't want the "extra two months of practice," you might want to hold off. The controls take a while to get used to and aren't the most responsive (the game likes to give me tilts instead of Smashes and vice versa somewhat often), so I'm sure it'll feel a hundred times better on a home console. Online also tends to lag on portable systems.

But if you're the type to play on the bus or if many of your acquaintances have the game on 3DS, you probably want to get it. Smash Run is a slight disappointment, but the game has a major upside in offering gameplay in however small or large doses you like it.

There's a custom button next to the Time/Stock button. You simply don't have to items.

Apparently I got real lucky, compared to everyone else's experience here. I got my physical copy at a gamestop midnight release in NH, at which, I won the brawl tournament, and got a free luigi Poster.

The game is done well for a 3DS game. The control is not that perfect, but you can master it( well when the Wii U version comes out I'll do better personally because of he GameCube controller option). The roster is greatest in Super Smash Bros. history, but it feels off. The CPU in Classic mode on 9.0 are hard. Every character is good there one bad character, but some character are better than another. One problem I have with the game is Dark Pit. He's a literal clone. They could of made him use his staff. Overall, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is a good game.

Gonna go ahead and say that minus the circle pad, this game is AWESOME.

I've played as mainly Shulk online and have a pretty decent record. I anybody wants to add me, feel free to do so. But now that we have the Wii U release date, THE HYPE TRAIN IS REAL AGAIN. Except not as intense because the 3ds version has me satisfied for now.
