Oh I saw this at Super Smash Con and it looked like a lot of fun. Exited to see where this project goes.

Hopefully Phoenix Wright won't totally suck this time around. He had the suckiest mobility and practically no recovery with the shortest jumps, low air speed, and an up-B that was literally a jump but with a hitbox.

Glad to see Crusade get some love. It looks good, has tons of combo potential, and the size of the roster is just crazy

I could never stand playing Crusade. I find the sprites terribly done and taken from other sources, the menu is weird, and SSF2 is just so much better

Crusade is basically an example of quantity over quality lol.

Hopefully this game will do what Sakurai will never be able to do: Make :150: a good character. :mewtwomelee: and :4mewtwo:are unacceptable.

Ugh. This game is the perfect example of quality over quantity. I mean seriously. I honestly don't think this is a good game. Does it have a lot of effort put to it? Yes. Does that make it good? No.

The roster is just really odd (IMO). I feels like the just try to cram every character they could into the game. The physics are very poor, and the most unsettling thing are the sprites. Most of them look like they were pulled from MS Paint. I understand if this was an earlier build of the game, but this game has just been adding more and more content.

Perhaps the direct will change my outlook on the game.

I've tried Crusade before... didn't really like it. SSF2 is vastly superior imo, Crusade's kind of lacking quality and the smash meter thing is kinda weird.

Have you tried Project M? In my opinion, that is the best Mewtwo in smash.
Well of course, but I just don't care for Project M that much because it is a Brawl mod and it is full of Brawl characters. But yeah, since Sakurai had no part in that game, Mewtwo was top tier. So hopefully Crusade will do exactly what Project M did on that front.

Hmm, I don't know. I just took a look at the roster and maps, and In my opinion this is the To-Much-Of-A-Good-Thing Syndrome. Some characters in the roster DEFINITELY look cool like Ashley, but I don't know about people like Tingle or Goku. :ohwell:

Hm, out of curiosity, why do Smash characters that first showed up in Brawl dissuade you from P:M? I might understand not liking SSB4 if it were a gameplay preference, but is there something about Brawl characters you dislike?

Anyways, if you want a good Mewtwo that isn't P:M Mewtwo, try Melee SD: Remix.

It's a Melee re-balance mod that leaves all the top tiers unchanged while slightly buffing the lower tier characters so they have a better chance.

It's just because I hate Brawl as a whole, lol. So it being a Brawl mod and having Brawl characters there just makes the game feel like Brawl, despite having Melee mechanics.

"Quantity has a quality all its own," - Josef Stalin.
Despite the horrors of communism, he's not wrong.
Basically what I'm saying is that the Crusade dev team are filthy commies.

Okay, you need to STOP HATING.

Crusade is a good game, the roster is HUGE.
The work that went into this is unbelievable.
SSF2 might be better, but did you notice the 2 in SSF2?
Crusade is an original. There might be a sequel, there might not.
It is still a good game.
NOW SHUT UP AND STOP HATING!

why the people compare the game with SSF2?
Because they're both sprite-made smash fangames that surfaced around the same time.
SSF2 stuck to the Brawl style and eventually branched out with unique sprites and physics while crusade stayed with its own 'thing' where they use whatever sprite sheet they can find online to make whatever characters they want in-game while mixing the engine with brawl, melee and other fighter mechanisms, like a meter. Crusade is pretty much Smash Bros Mugen, the appeal being the **** load of characters.

Yes, unfortunately the old developers have left us with this stigma of finding any old sprite sheet online and adding it in without any apparent thought. I can speak confidently when I say this is no longer the case and we are working our hardest to remedy it.
