Not really, they're fairly easy to predict their moves (such as down B), their up B is easy to dodge, and they generally aren't that good. Try playing a good Snake, though. Now there's a challenge.
True, but it depends on when one should use the moves. Some People rely way too much on the specials. It can be effective at times, but it does grow predictable easily. Plus all of Yoshi's specials leaves him open it he screws up. It's best to rely on your regular attacks and your evasive techinques. Use the specials when the opponent least expects it. And it's Always wise to not repeat your tactic, that'll leave you wih no way out. Grabbing help well to set combos with him, but distance is ket i you can even think about grabbing anything. Or just pivot grab.
Now the Egg throw isn't always meant to hit the person. It can also be use as a decoy to have the person dodge it so you can set up a hit easier.
That some useful Yoshi talk. i have plenty more, but I don't want to lecture about it. Beileve it or not. I put a good fight with a awesome snake user. Sure he wins most of the time, I forget about the land mines
, but it always came down to the wire.
Now, I'm a good Yoshi user myself. I'm not Bigman or fumi in any way, but I try my best to play effectively.
I win at times, and I get my butt kicked some as well.
