Electroplankton's fairly awful as well
On top of the stages we mentioned, these stages are awful:
-Yoshi's Island (64): So campy and such an awkward design.
-Mushroom Kingdom (Melee): If someone took away all the blocks in the middle it would be much better, and not feel as cluttered.
-Brinstar Depths: Such an awesome song though.
-Venom: Just a bad design choice for a stage.
-Big Blue: Another bad design choice.
-Infinite Glacier: Just a terrible speed up/slow down mechanic, and the stage is way too big.
-Rumble Falls: The same as the above stage.

  1. We keep forgetting New Pork City and Hanebow, the latter of which is a 100% pointless stage.
Good catch. Here is my updated list of unplayable stages.
  1. 75m
  2. Spear Pillar *Palkia (I'm bad with the inverted controls)
  3. Flatzone 2
  4. Hanebrow
  5. Port Town Aero
  6. Mario Bros.
  7. New Pork City
Port Town Aero shouldn't be 5 it's no where near as bad as stages like New Pork as far as I'm concerned.
Not a fan of the OH-KO Cars in Port Aero. Big Blue is pretty bad to especially for heavies, but there is a sense of epicness from that stage so it gets a pass from me

Guys, I just realized something!!!!

I think we'll get an EarthBound stage for Smash WiiU, but a MOTHER 3 stage on Smash 3DS!
New Pork City deserves to be on the list, because it's just Temple only twice as bad.
Temple is actually fun for huge battles, so long as no one camps or goes full Meta Knight running circle tactics. The stage layout also makes sense.

New Pork City is just disjointed in the layout, and the Ultimate Chimera is stupid. There is no rhyme or reason for this stage other than being big and chaotic.

Distant Planet and Halberd have some decent hazards.

They're more effective being used in a strategy, and are fairly easy to avoid otherwise.
The difference between the two is Distant Planet has a poor design, and the whole stage functions in a manner that is completely funky.

I hope every stage has lots of hazards so none of them are competitively viable so the tourneyfags will leave us REAL players alone for good.

Port Town Aero Drive is a great stage. It's not like the other ones in ridiculousness. I like Mario Bros. and 72m too, but that's beside the point. No opinions on the roster?

Distant Planet does have a pretty odd design, just a random hill and planets that function as the platforms, and Bulborb comes out of no where. The backround also appears to be taken from Awakening Wood from Pikmin 2. (or Forest of Hope from Pikmin 1)

As a Pikmin fan, I'm hoping the new Pikmin stage in Smash 4 will have a much better design.

Totally agree. 72m is MUCH better in structure than 75m.

Your overexaggerating how deadly the cars are >.> for the most part they're relatively simple to dodge

The cars aren't the only problem. There's also the walls, the differing platforms, and the street.

Not to mention the cars can K.O below 100% from what I remember.
BELOW 100% OH HORROR! I'm not saying they're good but definitely not deserving of such a bad ranking

Oh yes. Wistful Wild! It MUST be in the new stage. It simply must be. Speaking of it, this is an epic remix of the song.

Also, why the **** was this song on the stage?

It sounds a bit like a high-pitched voice in the song, but that's no excuse.
It's true place is a stage like Pictochat.

Sorry, Brawl competitive matches rarely excite me. It's just not a game I enjoy anymore, which is why I haven't played it in 4 years.

And I'm not sure about the mind games, unless you mean is more mind game based. If anything, Brawl is like a game of tag or a karate match in many respects.

Really though, Brawl just isn't my cup of tea, and after the thousands of hours I put into being the best, I refused to play like a camper or staller, and I quit, went back to Melee, and I've never been happier as a smash fan. The only thing I get out of Brawl now is Project M. *goes back to 2.6*
It is more of a mind game based than a combo based game, meaning that you will have to put more mental effort in order to add more percentage to your opponent (potentially killing him). I really don't see how someone can tag Brawl as a stalling game. There is a ledgegrab limit and a way to initiate similiar to Melee. It's true that Metaknight can potentially camp the last minute of the game , but it's quite rare and is often ended with the Metaknight player losing the match due to exceeding the ledgegrab limit. Can you reason out, with detailed examples please, on why Brawl is a stalling game? I'll try my best to provide another point of view at how you can see the game, but the ultimate decision is in your hands.

STILL arguing over this? Brawl is the best Smash game, both competitively and casually. It's a fact.
I just had an hour away from the thread to talk with my brother about summer vacation. I'm just interested in reading a logical explanation of why Brawl is a "stalling game", nothing major though :chuckle:

Phantoms, haven't you reached the rank of Smash Lord a week ago ? When did you wrack 500+ more posts ? Someone's on a hot streak ;).
I post on this thread a lot. :chuckle:

I've been on the Character Discussion section a lot lately too.

At this rate, I'll be a Smash Champion in no time. (I would reach it faster if I wasn't planning on going to the movies once this week and another time this coming week)

Can't we all just get along?
I mean, Earthbound was rereleased today.
That's something magical.

I've been playing for hours and can't stop.

No. Earthbound sucks and so does Mother 3.

Let the rage begin. ¦D
