if it has good prizesOkay, I may have a serious question as a subject change.
I'm working on something for smash brothers that I mentioned earlier in this thread.
This would be a website to keep track of data taken during smash bros tournaments. It would provide a state of the art bracket system with features no other program has ever provided (like pools into brackets automatically, FFA brackets, etc.) This would provide stage and matchup data, and contain personal data so you can track your own stats. It would include a forum, and a chatroom with matchmaking similar to AllIsBrawl. It even would have world, country, and regional rankings based on a gliko-2 equation. This would cover all the iterations of smash including Project M (as it is so popular).
If I were to make a kickstarter for 6500 (to cover programmig and server costs) do you think it wouuld meet it's goals?
Well I assume that while you are running, you can use that quick lane shift ability to maneuver around the lasers quickly. The casino level was really confined and he pinball table was underwhelming, other than that its a decent act.
I wonder what kind of airdoge are they going to stick with in 4, or make a hybrid, like going in up, down, left, and right instead of diagonally.
if it has good prizes
if you got pros to help out maybe they can help out newer players for a short time or somethingWhat prizes would be good enough you think?
Can't think of anything right now?if you got pros to help out maybe they can help out newer players for a short time or something
I really can't think of any right now
Well, good. Because I love that song!So... with the confirmation of KIU's Chapter 11 stage, we can pretty much say this song is like, 95% confirmed.
Just throwing that out there...
If it's a website, how about some sort of premium membership or special privileges or titles for a certain payment?
I don't care, as long as my Medusa Battle is in there.So... with the confirmation of KIU's Chapter 11 stage, we can pretty much say this song is like, 95% confirmed.

Personally, I think it would.Okay, I may have a serious question as a subject change.

Probably a remix, to fit in a bit more with the 'Arena' feel.I'm betting this will be the default Arena Ferox music.
Would beta access be a good reward? I'm sure you're going to have testers for this thing.I was definitely considering premium membership. Maybe access to a premium version of the bracket system depending on how much I can get programmed in. Any other thoughts? I admit, the goals aren't super easy to come up with.
Personally, I think it would.
How would it provide and/or track data and stats?

Also, this better be on the stage or I will flip tables:

Sounds good to me.The data would be kept with the bracket system or online matchmaking with simple boxes to put in after each match. It's put into a database that can be searched so you can find the results you are looking for quick and easy. I would probably pump out monthly charts for some of the larger stats to to keep things easy for people.
For your own personal stats, it'd be accessible on your own page via your profile.
Beta access wouldn't be unreasonable, good idea! And I'd love to pop out t-shirts or something with a logo for the site but yes that would be a bigger cost. Still, maybe worth looking at.Would beta access be a good reward? I'm sure you're going to have testers for this thing.
Everyone likes merchandise too, but that comes at additional expenses.
I'm working on that right now actually, trying to figure out what might be best. (Side note, anyone know of a list of established TO's? I know many of them from streams, reading their stuff, and just being mentioned to me, but a list is always helpful.)You might want to talk to established Tourney Organizers if you are seriously looking into doing something like that.
The goal would be before Apex and then to BEG them to use it at Apex :3Sounds good to me.
Hope you're able to set it up one day. (I have no idea when you'll be finished)
Even if you're adding "objective" in front of it, you're not using fact right. The fact of the matter is that you put the Prime games on such a high pedestal that it's clouding your judgment of Other M. This coming from someone who fell in love with the series starting at Prime (seriously you couldn't pay me to idolize it any more than I already do). The flaws are glaring, I'll give you that, but that doesn't mean the criticism is any more true than it is for any other game (see people saying Ocarina of Time, Metroid Prime, and yes, even Melee are awful). Nothing I could say could change your views, and I can live with that. But when you start shoving your opinion down someone who hasn't even played the game (see below quote), then the subjective opinion/objective fact thing comes full circle, and it tends to make your opinion come off worse (again, I don't necessarily agree with you, and I love Metroid as a series, but to each their own).Yes, but there is such a thing as a subjective opinion and an objective fact.
You might like it, but that doesn't mean it's better than Prime nor a good game. The flaws are glaring, and the criticism valid. I'm not trying to shy you away, nor sway you any which way (though if I could get you to agree with me after you've played it, then I've done my job), but you asked why people said Prime was better than Other M, or why Other M sucks, and I'm telling you why. It's cause it doesn indeed suck, for a Metroid game, it's terrible, for a non-Metroid game, it's a little above mediocre, that's cause Metroid is such a fine franchise.
Good thing Sakurai isn't Sakamoto.>not wanting Skytwon Elysia
Other M was an abomination that should be forgotten entirely (the wound is only worse when you remember that Sakamoto doesn't consider the Prime series canon, that *******...).
It's one of the better parts of the games. And one of my favorite fights with him, personally.Y'know, since Other M is in like every bargain bin nowadays, maybe I should blow $10 or $15 on it, lol.
Just to experience that Ridley battle.
Sure. I'm positive there are enough people that would back it.Okay, I may have a serious question as a subject change.

A remix of these couldn't hurt, either (hey, Spear Pillar got route 209...)This better be in the game or else:
And this wouldn't hurt either:
"It's like me dear ol' mum used to say: What if at first ya don't succeed...retry the level and don't louse it up this time, ya daft arse!"↑ LOL at the last choice. ↑
I can't see myself getting into a battle with that playing in the background.
Animal Crossing fit in a weird sort of way, this just seems a bit off to me. LOL
That's how I feel about Ai No Uta and Tane No Uta.↑ LOL at the last choice. ↑
I can't see myself getting into a battle with that playing in the background.
Eternal Bond is the father of my children (Kudos to those who get the reference)Of course, I certainly wouldn't mind to hear some Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn music on the Arena Ferox stage. That game also has good music such as Eternal Bond (also appeared in Brawl labelled as "Ike's Theme") or A Grasping Truth.
@AylasHero: I dunno much about programming or fundraising, but if you need to look further for reward ideas, make sure it fits with what your promoting (e.g., why would you need to send out an art booklet if you were doing a cancer research campaign) and it doesn't take additional money you could use to raise your project.
What you're describing sounds like LOLKing for Smash Bros. with more tourney-centric features. It has much potential and I wish you the best of luck!
Hmm... I wonder if sound tracks will be limited to certain platforms like the stages are.Kid Icarus: Uprising and Fire Emblem: Awakening music! Guess what two games also have stages on the 3DS version?
These two games are reason alone to have a 3DS. I'm serious! To have stages from both games means a very likely possibility of having music from both games too, which is very good news, considering the quality of the games' soundtracks.
It may happen something like what happens with the Spear Pillar stage in Brawl: most music on that stage is from Pokémon Diamond / Pearl.

Isn't that from the creepy bandit twins from Fire Emblem: Awakening?"It's like me dear ol' mum used to say: What if at first ya don't succeed...retry the level and don't louse it up this time, ya daft arse!"
You mean this?Eternal Bond is the father of my children (Kudos to those who get the reference)
Seriously though, Eternal Bond better return or else I'm... I dunno... I'll probably whine for a bit then get over it. BUT STILL!
Though a Path of Radiance or Radiant Dawn stage are the best Wii U stage candidates, I don't think that could stop music from those games being on the Arena Ferox stage for the 3DS version.Hmm... I wonder if sound tracks will be limited to certain platforms like the stages are.
In any case, we touched on this a bit earlier today, but I think either a Radiant Dawn or Path of Radiance themed stage is up for the Wii U FE stage choices.
I agree! Uprising and Awakening are a MUST BUY if you have a 3DS.Kid Icarus: Uprising and Fire Emblem: Awakening music! Guess what two games also have stages on the 3DS version?

Yep! Thats the line. You mean this?
Micaiah: Right. Lord Ike, hero of the Crimean Liberation, leader of the Greil Mercenaries, and father of Sothe's children...
Speaking of the Tellius games, locations such as Castle Crimea, the Tower of Guidance or Daein Keep would work nicely. Nados Castle wouldn't be a bad idea either, considering that's where Ike defeated the Black Knight in Path of Radiance.
Hey, any Melee fans in here? I have a question to be sure if I'm remembering something correctly.
On Yoshi's Story, wasn't there once a rule that prevented stalling on Randal the Cloud? Trying to remember...
I was hoping for a Great Bridge level pre-Brawl, but post-Brawl I think that may just end up being a Bridge of Eldin 2.0 with catapult projectiles raining down ever so often.Though a Path of Radiance or Radiant Dawn stage are the best Wii U stage candidates, I don't think that could stop music from those games being on the Arena Ferox stage for the 3DS version.
