I mentioned the Halo DS thing because in my opinion it is the same thing as what was said in that article about third party characters. Yes, there was some "evidence" that a Halo DS game could have been released, just like they have "evidence" that there will be more third party characters.Seeing as someone brought it up, I really can't understand how people think Matt was lying about Halo DS. Some seem to be using that Bungie quote as proof, but it really says pretty much what Matt said when he posted the videos. Some companies made demos and showed them to Microsoft, but it was decided not to go forward with the project. He played one of these demos, and even posted videos of it. He never claimed it was actually going to come out, and Bungie never said the demos didn't exist.
if that happens.sqare-enix=mogI say there should be a character from each of the major third-party companies.

Sigg'd.You can't spell ignorant without IGN.![]()
Geno is practically a third party character the way Square treats him. Well I mean, apparently Square has the copyright or whatever on him so we can face the fact that he's third party.I hope its true, and I hope this doesnt get Geno fans to think Geno has more of a chance.
Because hes not gonna make it. This is actually news that geno wont make it because,
when opening up the possibilitys for more 3rd party characters, genos, chances go down every time.
Maybe, but TBH I think the most iconic S-E character is the Black Mage. He could be a really cool Smash character too.if that happens.sqare-enix=mog
You win sir...and I just realized who I was quoting!Takeshi, you're my hero (even though I like IGN).
Matt's a cool guy, and for the most part his opinions are right on. I remember when I saw him at the IGN.com convention at a panel. He was destroying everyone who defended the PS3 and the Xbox360. Everyone in the audience cheered for him!
But yeah, take it with a grain of salt. But also remember that if, and only if, third party companies are asking Nintendo to put their characters into Brawl, Sakurai would be stupid to say no.
And to Takeshi: At least IGN is better than the Nintendo-haters over at Gamespot![]()
