Hey, there has been little talk of the random stickywalks people seem to get (mostly falcons) very rarely in matches. Well I for one was driven crazy by it; i knew it could be done but i didn't know how, thought maybe it was due to some certain pattern and timing that could never really be achieved on purpose. But luckily, i stumbled across something while playing, tried it, and it WORKED! Not only that, it let me to even further it.

I don't really get it... I'm not seeing the results in the video...and how is it useful?

No, but the degree of success you'll have with the tech depends on the character. Marth and Falcon have some of the best results.

not quite "momentum". What i see there is what you get from a sticky land, most chars would have enough of this momentum to do that. When it all comes down, there are 3 things that i can spot out that calculate this. Dash length, dash time, and Char speed. Your momentum only effects the initial dash (just my unapproved observations)

Thanks! If you didn't notice, grim already pointed me in that directoin! Some information differs and expands, and if a tutorial video does not help i don't know what does...

mindgames are argueably one of the most respected skills in Smash period. To make your opponent react differently or as they planned, and capatalizing on whatever it brings you. I played a couple games with someone yesterday and an example is when i did a stickywalk, he tried to Fsmash only to do it too early, and from this i could grab

Especially with falcon, his walk is astrocious but being able to select different run speeds compared to his regular super fast dash certainly changes his approach options.

With just a plain, in place sticky-run people see you shooting dust everywhere and going into your run animation, if your anywhere near them they'll probably react someway to try and avoid getting grabbed or hit.

There is also some momentum retaining effects which I believe he refered to as rocket jumping in video.
