so basically i want to build im trying to build if you guy read my post in the "ask S2J how to play falcon..." thread i wanted to build a tournament mind set/ clean up my play style with Falcon period.well the practice i usually do at home is Camera mode(practice shuffl and platform stuff) and play against LVL l Fox cpu and play my roommate (DondonSF) who has a decent SPacies.i looking for different ways to step it up a notch and i mean a big Notch.i always keep posted on matches and tournaments as well.my focus is learning to Falcon Properly(not always rushing,or approaching,or trying to combo 24/7 you will see in the matches)some problems with me are playing stiff not moving around lot, losing to stock trying to kill someone, playing falcon a little to fast/fast falling all aerials.i lose focus after playing lots of people(my brain get tired) i want to build a tournament mentality, and learn my match ups better.i don't do much i just sit around the house all day so i have all the time. im looking others ways of practicing as well.no lie i felt like i had tons of pressure on me @ CGC when i had to go against S2j,i lost focus easily(throwing a random taunt)

so yea help me out Falcons

I had fun watching these.

One thing I can say is that you need to be more aware of their percentage when you are doing combos. Sometimes you did uthrow nair at around 80%, and you could have just used knee. You also did some silly things like bthrow them onto the stage on dreamland when you could have put him off the stage with dthrow.

You need to always use your grabs wisely. You got a grab a lot of times but misread the tech a whole lot. You were predicting tech in place a lot at one point and I notice how you kept missing it.

Also at low percents (at least in match 1) he was CCing your nair and uair and punishing you. So at lower percents, don't aerial if you're going to land right in front of them.

You also jab before you grab a lot of the time. I don't think this is a good option for falcon but I'm not sure.

But overall you seemed good to me. Not many stupid approaches, good tech skill, and good edgeguarding.

i see, the reason i do the jab to grab sometimes is because it stops peoples momentum when there approaching me and thats find but i find a problem that i do it too much.i noticed he does punishing me when i approach him with aerials at low percentages.my question is if he's cc or shielding at low at a low percent,do you do aerials past him so he cant punish me?when i Bthrow its a mistake on my part because i play too fast or i dont wait for lag under certain circumstances. example i get clumsy at times where i nair someone and i l Canceled it but i didn't dashing to continue punishing my opponent.every now and then i seem to play a little short of myself. misreading tech chases is my kryptonite is i dont know what to do if i miss.thank you for the feedback

dont ever doubt yourself thats the first mistake. but dude i can say i see potentiel in your falcon. there are a couple of things you can do to step up your game.

using the invincibility from the edge to attack with. didnt see you do that that much.
dashing and wavedashing out of arials more often.
also triangle jumping is very effective when used right. and to add if you triangle jump just right to a side step in some sit. its a faster double dodge than just sidesteping twice.

also when arialing and the oppenent shields. try to use that shield stun to buy you enough time to up-b them. since the up-b cantbe shielded blocked or parryed its one of the best moves to use. when i fight i my favorite arial to use this with is the nair. i will use the first foot only to an up-b.

try pratice edge cancling to. great tech to have

learn to pivit and moonwalk.

you mean reverse moonwalk like this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWYntsJgNIw ( i can do that with no problem)

never doubted myself self from the start.see when things are clutch and when you play against fast characters you don't have time to wash dash out of aerials.the meta game these days if you notice people are constantly moving and constantly spacing. the reason i don't do it much is becuase i want to keep moving around.(which i don't do enough) but dash dancing and aerials is acceptable i like you input on that. i don't really understand what you mean by this " jumping is very effective when used right. and to add if you triangle jump just right to a side step in some sit. its a faster double dodge than just sidesteping twice" could you elaborate on that more? and up-b after is a bad approach to the opponents shield that's totally punishable. plus there are ton of people who would air dodge especially with spacies and they would shine you. i know hot to edge cancel i just don't know how to put it into my game.

I left my comments on the specific youtube vid.

Man, You're legit, you need to quit being nervous.

If I had your tech-skill I'd be so much better than I am right now, Tech-skill is my downfall.

I havent played in over a week sadly, I'm Jonesin for some melee reallll hard right now.

When I'm talkin about tech skill, i mean technically sound. (Not missing L-Cancels and L-Cancel -> Dash.) You got that, I dont. :(
