Starter or Unlockable?

I want him to be a starter so I can play him from the start an not have to do brawls a lot to get him D:
Or maybe Sakurai is trolling again and there is actually a Adventure Mode (I can see him doing that)

In my opinion, he'll be an unlockable. I think Pikachu and Charizard will at least be starters, and maybe Greninja. But I definitely think Lucario and Jiggs will be the unlockable ones.

On a serious note, if Mewtwo isn't in then unlockable status to Lucario, because somebody need to become hidden to ensure fun gameplay.

No, I am happy with them being added, I mean that I can't predict who will starter or not.

I was hoping for pokemon trainer to return but one of the three pokemon is good enough. As for Greninja, a big frown still exists on my face . i just dont like greninja.

I'll say unlockable.
Sakurai has a tendency of having character repeat roles that they had before (except the one exception with Ness and Captain Falcon in Melle, though they went back to unlockable in Brawl).
He might do the same here.

I agree with this, although there's a slight possibility that they might both be unlockable.

The only pokemon that I am confident are starters are Pikachu and Charizard. I'm also sure Jigglypuff is unlockable.

To be honest I can see Pikachu (who's always been a starter since the 1st game), Charizard and maybe Greninja as starters (makes sense for both, since they are starters in their respective regions, it would be very weird having Greninja as a unlockable character), Lucario, Mewtwo (hopefully) and Jigglypuff will be the unlockables.

Oooh I like this idea. Make the starter pokemon starter characters in Smash Brothers. Makes perfect sense to me!

Since Pikachu Lucario and Charizard were first revealed and the mascots of the franchise they could be starters while jigglypuff Mewtwo and Greninja are unlockables, Greninja because he's a newcomer, Mewtwo because he hasn't been revealed yet and could be a good surprise and Jiggs because she has always been unlockable.

Think the reason why Lucario is a starter is because he was revealed earlier than Wario (who was revealed late), also the 3DS probably can't handle all the unlockable characters that were in the planning stages (which could explain why we have a almost 40 characters in the starting roster.)
