Yeah! **** those corporate *******s that made a gaming console with removable parts that can make the system inoperable. Everything should be welded to the system, including controllers, so that all you have to do is carry the system around and you won't have to worry about losing any parts >_>

The sensor bar is a *****. They sell wireless sensor bars at almost all gaming places, and believe it or not, you can place a candle where you usually would the sensor bar, and that'll work too.

It'll be really jumpy, but all you need to do is start the game, right?

You can also just have a friend hold down a random button on your TV remote, and that'll work as a sensor bar, too.

you could also get a classic controller, it can navigate the menu like a guitar hero guitar but you have the advantage of not looking insane

Nintendo REALLY shoulda gone with 360s/PS3s wireless because that bar is so annoying to place.
Example: I was playing Warhawk on PS3, someone came to the door, I ran to a corner, held down crouch while someone knocked on the door, so I walked into the other room, still crouching, awesome. With my Wii, We had someone sit TOO CLOSE to the bar, wouldn't work.

Uh, CK, Wireless is different to infra-red pointing. It's similar to comparing wireless to a light gun.

Yeah, the Wii senses depth and movement. The Wimote is actually bluetooth, in terms of wireless connecting.

I'm aware it's difference. The SixAxis serves it's purpose on the PS3 in terms of motion sensing, but if if used that same technology to point a cursor, it'd be vastly different.

Oh well.

Use a classic controller. It navigates the menu.

I hardly ever even have my bar plugged in, I just use my classic controller to get to the brawl panel, then bam, Im done.

Heck, you dont even need candles, just hold a single lighter in front of your wiimote. That should work long enough to get the game started!

In my secret laboratory.
USE 2 CANDLES! Place them 5 inches away from eachother where the sensor bar was and there ya go! They work PERFECTLY!!! Thats what I did except be careful to not let them fall down. That happened to me lol

I hate needing the sensor bar to start up games/things. Absolutely hate it.

I'll be sure to remember all these pointers in case I have to use them in the future.

I don't have much against the sensor bar. Anyways, the CC and Guitar controller (I didn't know this)works instead of pointing.

The sensor bar isn't that annoying. What's more annoying is having to use the wiimote to start the game. Especially if your playing a GC game or when your mote doesn't have batteries >_>

Or you lose the mote.

Happens to me all the time, but I have had the classic controller with me when I lose the SB and never thought about trying it.

Thanks for that little bit of info.

they should have an option to go directly into the game like they do for the DS. It would make things so much easier.
