Star of the Stage- Ribbon Girl Support Thread

We got a very strange official confirmation where the series was confirmed but not the character, leaving the door open to many potential fighters, especially considering the designated MC is an Assist Trophy. We also got another character as a Mii costume so if THAT """rule""" isn't broken then another one can be.

RIBBON GIRL HITS THE BEAT!

Ribbon Girl, who's ARMS and hair are made up of super strong ribbons is a pop idol and an ARMS fighter who love to sing and to meet her fans. And they love nothing more than to meet her. She's the second face of the game after Spring Man and often share the spotlight

UNIQUE POWERS
Ribbon Girl has two unique powers that could translate well into Smash. She has the ability to jump 4 times in a row and the ability to fall quickly to the ground. The combination of multiple jumps with a slow normal fall speed and a quick fast-fall would make for an interesting fighter settup.

Her default ARMS consist of the Shocker, electric counterpart to Spring Man's Toaster, the explosive poppers and the firey slapamander.​

I would like to see the popper, i always liked it and it's one of Ribbon Girl's default ARMS, i could see her using it as a side b projectile, like a long range version of Rosalina's side b.

I'd prefer Min Min but Ribbon Girl is among my most played characters in the game, so I'd still be cool with her joining instead. Sign me up as a supporter!

Oh, and her ARMS should definitely include double Slapamanders since that seems to be the "meta" online lol.

Something kinda relevant since you guys are talking about Mario related stuff, there was a datamine of the E-shop, and a flipnote was found. Here's a link to the gamefaqs topic with it, because my computer doesn't want to let me post it here for some reason.

It shows 6 pictures: smoething related to Animal Crossing New Horizons, a pirate guy with Link in the background, and the pirate was in Skyword Sword meaning it may mean Skyword Sword HD (if Nintendo wants to make Mario's 35 anniversary special, then it seems normal that they do not release BotW2 this year, but still give something to Zelda fans), what seeems to be Paper Mario, Ribbon Girl with aparently a new design (her haircut is shorter), Mario with Cappy, while Luigi and King Boo (potentialy a crossover between Mario Odyssey and Luigi's Mansion 3) are also there, and Olimar. Take it as you want.

I don't really believe it as evidence of a Smash cahracter but hey, it's worth sharing. What do you think?

I didn't take it as a confirmation, but it could have been it. At least the joke didn't have a smash symbol next to Ribbon Girl, it would have been sad to get my expectations high and then crushed.

Seems pretty tone deaf to make a fake E3 leak when it's already been killed off. The Paper Mario tease is just plain mean at this point.

Obviously it is not evidence of anything, but we can speculate about it At this point the character is already chosen but if this were to relate to smash in some form, maybe the default character will be chosen in this Party Crash if they chose Ribbon Girl and Springman as the DLC.

It'll be intresting to see how it pans out. I've found with Party Crashes the popular pick is usually the winner whereas in Splatoon 2, the popular one almost always lost. Guess it was harder to get a better team synergy going.
