Howdy, I'm Spire. I've never posted back here before, but it seems pretty lax. Now I've been dabbling in Brawl hacking for quite some time now and I know next to nothing when it comes to coding as I'm just an artist and a conceptualist. I have in mind the Smash Bros. I want, so I've worked up a spreadsheet detailing exactly what I need to do. Firstly, here is a screenshot from the CSS Organizer 2.0 showing exactly how I'd like my roster to appear, followed by a list of the characters and how they will ultimately change.

Now, back to the CSS. Of course it froze upon auto-inserting the file after saving it from the CSS Organizer because it has 40 slots rather than 36. I recall reading somewhere about a compressing method, but also that I may require a special set of codes to enable this to work. In short, I've yet to get it to work.
I'd like to note that I'm willing to start from scratch since my current SD card is cluttered with scattered hacks that I've just completely forgotten about. If someone could walk me through the steps necessary to make this happen, then that'd be truly awesome. Also to note: I've already downloaded all of the necessary files and placed them in placeholder folders on my desktop for the time being, so aside from the probable code issue, it's just a matter of drag and drop.
