Poast roast...
Anyways...Aqua's vids are now hilariously off topic :chuckle:
And umm. I think contact info needs some updatin', haha.
You should probably sticky this thread and just make it the general discussion of SSB stuff thread, or else it'll probably just like...die.

It would be great for the SSB64 scene to run a big kaillera server that could make meet people from North America and Europe, I mean all could get low enough ping. And then making big championships. Sadly It's unlikely to happen.

Mr. Togepi, I'm pretty sure ping is based on distance because electrical impulses don't get to people instantaneously, otherwise we'd have no issues with ping at all. Therefore...how exactly do you think this kind of big server would work?
The best thing I can think of is setting up a server in like, Iceland, so we all get the same (crappy) ping. Otherwise, just stick with P2P :p

Yes obviously, so i meant its unlikely to make both people from Europe and North America get low ping, they have to cross the Atlantic Ocean by satellite. However in P2P the information has only to travel half long as in a server so fortunately people from each continent can play

Anybody going to that FAST tournament in Orlando, FL? It has all three smash games. Too bad I can't go, looks like I'll never get to play SheerMadness!

Well it depends of the location of the people but anyway...

Server playing, information route:
Player1 > Server > Player 2

P2P playing, information route:
Player1 > Player2

as easy as this, you know, its can be 1/2 less of travelling so 2x faster

Yo peek, can you at least tell me why you think pikachu and kirby are better than fox?
If you do then I'll get behind that list. It's definitely better than the one we have posted on the sticky.

On that note, does anyone care to restart a SERIOUS tier list discussion where people actually defend their opinions? =P Because I'll do it but it seems like nobody cares >.>

Edit: to everyone else: about ness: he's not actually that good. People are just too easily seduced by djc ability.

Ness aerials are also bad, his movements and jumps are predictable and thus easy to edgeguard and combo to death. And you can escape DJC quite easily if its not done fast enough (which usually isnt)

I rather agree with most of Peek's list but I'd put Ness between mario and Jiggs and Yoshi in B.
