Shield Special: Poké-Switch
Pokémon Trainer uses a Poké Ball to recall the Pokémon that is currently onstage, switching their place with another Pokémon.
Inputting "ZL/ ZR + B" just switches their Pokémon in order. Holding "B" allows them to choose which Pokémon they send out.
The order of Pokémon Trainer's list of partners is as follows: Squirtle is the first, Ivysaur is the second & Charizard is the third.

Stage Entrance: Pokémon Trainer throws a Poké Ball onto the stage, calling Squirtle, Ivysaur or Charizard to the stage.
Idle #1: Red/ Leaf stretches both of their arms for a moment.
Idle #2: Red/ Leaf breifly adjusts both their hats and clothes.
Idle #3: Red/ Leaf breifly looks at one Poké Ball in reflection.
Up Taunt: Red/ Leaf fist pumps upward with a Poké Ball in their hand.
Side Taunt: Red/ Leaf throws a Poké Ball into the air, then catches it.
Down Taunt: Red/ Leaf breifly and causally strikes their signature pose.
Squirtle Victory Pose #1: Squirtle breakdances on his shell for a moment, then strikes a pose with the Pokémon Trainer.

Here was my idea for a Pokémon Trainer rework:
Intro: The chosen Pokémon hops out of their Poké Ball.

Gimmick: Pokémon Change; you can change Pokémon by taunting.
  • Up switches to Totodile
  • Left or right switches to Grovyle
  • Down switches to Charizard

Totodile
Stance/Idle 1: Totodile bobs itself up and down
Idle 2: Totodile hops twice excitedly.
Idle 3: Totodile leans forward and waggles its arms in front of itself.

Notable Palette Swaps:
  1. Default
  2. Shiny
  3. Chikorita (green)
  4. Cyndaquil (navy/tan)
  5. Ho-Oh (red)
  6. Lugia (white/blue)
  7. Gold Totodile
  8. Silver Totodile
Walk: Totodile waddles forward.
Dash: Surf; Totodile surfs along the ground.
Damage: Totodile is flipped backward.
Jump: Totodile jumps once, then forward flips for the second jump.
Crouch: Totodile simply lies on its belly.

Normal Attacks
Jab: Scratch; Totodile scratches once with each hand (2% each hit, small knockback), then scratches the opponent with both hands (4%, small knockback)
Forward+A: Tail Whip; Totodile sweeps its tail forwards (5%, small knockback)
Up+A: Headbutt; Totodile jumps up and attacks with its head (5%, small knockback)
Down+A: Crunch; Totodile takes a bite out of the opponent (8%, small knockback). This also deals considerable shield damage.
Dash Attack: Tackle; Totodile slides on its belly along the ground (8%, OK knockback)
Edge Attack: Bite; Totodile climbs up and bites the opponent (9%, small knockback)
Get-Up Attack: Tail Whip; Totodile spins around and attacks with its tail before getting back up (7%, small knockback)

Aerial Attacks
Air+A: Flail; Totodile performs a quick cartwheel (10%, OK knockback)
Air Forward+A: Water Pulse; Totodile shoots a ring of water a small distance forward (8%, OK knockback)
Air Back + A: Iron Tail; Totodile flips its tail upwards behind itself (5%, small knockback), followed by a flash (6%, OK knockback)
Air Up+A: Water Sport; Totodile spins upward while soaked in water (7%, small knockback)
Air Down+A: Body Slam; Totodile falls towards the ground using its belly (12% with a meteor effect, OK knockback)

Smash Attacks
Forward+A: Hydro Pump; Totodile spits water as it turns its head to the side (16%, OK knockback)
Up+A: Aqua Tail; Totodile backflips as water emits from its tail (16%, OK knockback)
Down+A: Whirlpool; Totodile constantly spins around in a vortex of water, sucking in nearby opponents (20%, medium knockback)

Grab Game
Grab: Totodile grabs the opponent with one hand.
Pummel: Totodile nibbles on the opponent in quick succession (1%)
Forwards+Throw: Hydro Cannon; Totodile spits the opponent forward like a cannonball (11%, OK knockback)
Back+Throw: Fling; Totodile spins backwards twice before throwing the opponent in the opposite direction (8%, small knockback)
Up+Throw: Headbutt; Totodile tosses the opponent up (2%, small knockback), then headbutts them (6%, small knockback)
Down+Throw: Totodile holds up and then attacks the opponent with its rear end (7%, small knockback)

Special Moves
B : Water Gun
; Totodile charges up, then spits out a stream of water that pushes opponents, but doesn’t deal damage.
B + Forwards : Bite; Totodile leaps towards the opponent and bites five times (3% each hit, small-OK knockback)
B + Up : Waterfall; Totodile creates a wave of water and rides it upwards (13%, OK knockback)
B + Down : Dive; Totodile dives into water and pops out after a bit. When used in the air, Totodile instead dives toward the ground enveloped in water (10% with a meteor effect, OK knockback)

Grovyle
Stance/Idle 1: Grovyle raises its hands, ready to fight.
Idle 2: Grovyle stretches its arms back a bit.
Idle 3: Grovyle looks behind itself.

Notable Palette Swaps:
  1. Default
  2. Shiny
  3. Combusken (orange)
  4. Marshtomp (turquoise)
  5. Shiny Celebi (pink)
  6. Darkrai (black)

Walk: Grovyle walks cautiously yet determined.
Dash: Grovyle dashes forward while leaning towards the ground.
Damage: The leaf on Grovyle’s head flies forward as Grovyle recoils.
Jump: Grovyle jumps once, then front flips for the second jump.
Crouch: Grovyle crouches while putting one hand on the ground.

Normal Attacks
Jab: Fury Swipes; Grovyle swipes twice (2% each, small knockback), then swipes multiple times (.5% each, small knockback), finishing with a swipe with both hands (2.5%, small knockback)
Forward+A: Spinning Back Knuckle; Grovyle rotates and extends the back of its hand (5%, small knockback)
Up+A: Grass Knot; Grovyle flips the leaf on its head forward (5% with a meteor effect, small knockback), then flips it backwards (5%, small knockback)
Down+A: Straight Chop; Grovyle chops its open hand towards the ground (6% with a meteor effect, small knockback)
Dash Attack: Crush Claw; Grovyle slashes the opponent with its claws (9%, OK knockback)
Edge Attack: Grovyle performs a front flip kick as it climbs back up (7%, small knockback)
Get-Up Attack: Low Sweep; Grovyle performs a sweep kick around itself (8%, small knockback)

Aerial Attacks
Air+A: Leaf Storm; Grovyle surrounds itself with a gust of leaves (11%, OK knockback)
Air Forward+A: Strength; Grovyle performs a strong sex kick outwards (14%, OK knockback)
Air Back + A: Swords Dance;
Air Up+A: Cut; Grovyle cuts above itself with one of its hands (8%, small knockback)
Air Down+A: X-Scissor; Grovyle slashes in a wide angle with both hands (12% with a meteor effect, OK knockback)

Smash Attacks
Forward+A: Double Kick; Grovyle leaps forward as it kicks twice (11% each hit, OK knockback)
Up+A: Brick Break; Grovyle slashes upwards so strongly, it can break shields (17%, OK knockback)
Down+A: Slash; Grovyle slashes downwards with both hands (14% on each side, OK knockback)

Grab Game
Grab: Grovyle grabs the opponent with one hand.
Pummel: Scratch; Grovyle scratches the opponent with one hand (2%)
Forwards+Throw: Low Kick; Grovyle kicks the opponent, causing them to diagonally bounce slightly upwards (6%, small knockback)
Back+Throw: Dragon Suplex; Grovyle performs a suplex (11%, OK knockback)
Up+Throw: Flying Buster Drop; Grovyle hops up and drives its shoulder into the opponent’s back as it lands (8%, OK knockback)
Down+Throw: Flying Mare; Grovyle wraps its arm around the opponent and drives them into the ground (7%, small knockback)

Special Moves
B : Razor Leaf
; Grovyle unleashes a rapidly spinning crescent-shaped wave after firing a leaf from each hand (4% each leaf, small knockback). If the attack gets hit, the remaining leaf travels faster.
B + Forwards : Leaf Storm; Grovyle spins forward in a storm of leaves, hitting multiple times while tilted diagonally in the direction it’s facing (20%, medium knockback)
B + Up : Leaf Blade; Grovyle slashes upwards, hitting the opponent with the three leaves on its hand (5% each hit, OK knockback)
B + Down : False Swipe; Grovyle performs a backflip kick that moves it slightly diagonally forward, leaving a flash in its wake (11%, OK knockback). If used on the ground just as Grovyle gets hit, it doesn’t move off the ground, but instead tanks weaker attacks and crumples opponents.

Charizard
Stance/Idle 1: Charizard clutches its claws.
Idle 2: Charizard stomps on the ground.
Idle 3: Charizard spits a flame.

Notable Palette Swaps:

Jab: Scratch; Charizard swipes its claws twice (2.5% each hit, small knockback), then swipes its wings (5%, OK knockback)
Forward+A: Ember; Charizard swings its tail forward (11%, OK knockback)
Up+A: Wing Attack; Charizard swings its wings upward in a fan motion (7% each hit, OK knockback)
Down+A: Headbutt; Charizard headbutts low to the ground (10%, OK knockback)
Dash Attack: Fire Spin; Charizard dashes forward and spins sideways, cloaked in flame (14%, OK knockback)
Edge Attack: Headbutt; Charizard performs a battering ram while climbing up from the ledge (10%, OK knockback)
Get-Up Attack: Charizard swings its tail in both directions while getting back up (8%, small knockback)

Air+A: Air Slash; Charizard performs a front flip, expelling wind from its wings (12%, OK knockback)
Air Forward+A: Fire Blast; Charizard breathes a burst of flame in front of itself and moves slightly backwards (17%, OK knockback)
Air Back + A: Tail Whip; Charizard swings its tail upward behind itself (14%, OK knockback)
Air Up+A: Iron Head; Charizard performs an upward headbutt (15%, OK knockback)
Air Down+A: Stomp; Charizard stomps the opponent below it (14% with a meteor effect, OK knockback)

Smash Attacks
Forward+A: Explosion; Charizard rears its head back and then expels a fiery explosion from its mouth (23%, medium knockback)
Up+A: Heat Wave; Charizard breathes fire above itself in a fan shape (26%, medium knockback)
Down+A: Overheat; Charizard creates a fiery shockwave by stomping the ground (22% on each side, OK knockback)

Grab Game
Grab: Charizard clinches the opponent with both hands.
Pummel: Bite; Charizard bites the opponent with its fangs (3%)
Forwards+Throw: Fling; Charizard uses its mouth to toss the opponent forward (10%, OK knockback)
Back+Throw: Return; Charizard uses its mouth to fling the opponent in the opposite direction (10%, OK knockback)
Up+Throw: Flamethrower; Charizard tosses the opponent up and breathes fire on them (11%, OK knockback)
Down+Throw: Seismic Toss; Charizard flies up and slams the opponent on the ground (14%, OK knockback)

Special Moves
B : Flamethrower
; Charizard steps back and shoots a stream of flames from its mouth, which can be directed up or down by tilting the control stick (2% each hit, small knockback)
B + Forwards : Flare Blitz; Charizard cloaks itself in fire and tackles straight forward, hitting anyone in its path (24%, medium knockback; 10% recoil)
B + Up : Fly; Charizard spirals into the sky and travels very high, but can’t damage opponents.
B + Down : Rock Throw; Charizard takes a rock from the ground (or something else, based on the terrain) and hurls it (15%, OK knockback), the direction of which depending on the control stick.

Final Smash: Triple Finish; All three Pokémon attack the opponent with powerful projectiles (52%, devastating knockback)
  • Totodile uses Hydro Pump to push opponents away
  • Grovyle uses Solar Beam to attack opponents directly
  • Charizard Mega Evolves into Mega Charizard X and can fly using the control stick as it barrages opponents with Fire Blast

Taunts
Up: Totodile backflips once, then raises its arms up
Side: Grovyle spins once, then strikes a pose
Down: Charizard faces upright and roars

Winposes
1: “Haha! Nice job, Totodile!” Totodile constantly bites its Trainer’s head in joy.
2: “You did great, Grovyle!” Grovyle jumps up and strikes a pose.
3: “You’re amazing, Charizard!” Charizard stomps and rears its head back to roar upward, then strikes a pose.

Applause: The Trainer claps for the winner.
