I started playing Brawl a lot more and I really wanted to improve. I admit that my Wolf can use a lot of work. Any constructive criticism is great. I want to play competitively but I don't know if I'm competent enough yet.

*Make sure to watch the videos in high-quality. There's a noticeable difference.

Thanks in advanced!

There was a severe lack of bair in this video. Also, it's not any sort of Brawl video.

Saw a lot of random dash attacks. You could have approached a lot better with bair or fair.

And watch the lip on Castle Siege.
LOL, I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE THAT LOL

It's changed.

Btw, the random dash attacks are me attempting to Boost Smash, which I haven't mastered yet.

Actually that was quite good, you can play in competition, just don't expect to win it all. The major thing that bothered me through it all was a massive over use of the dsmash. It's your kill move, not a punisher, you want it fresh to kill at the lowest percent possible. When the opponent is open behind you, don't dsmash, fsmash in his direction.

You might want to consider using fsmash more often when punishing. Lots of grabs, pretty nice overall but some of your fthrows could have probably been replaced with dthrows for a little bit more success. Dash attack, as previously mentioned, is generally a bad idea because it's not very safe. Utilt's vertical part comes out before usmash's. I saw you use usmash to hit through platforms, utilt might be a better (quicker) choice. Also, what Arc said, but you really should play some better opponents. Spamming dsmash can make it difficult to get kills in matchups where gimps aren't so easy, just keep it fresh once your opponent's % gets high.

Not a bad wolf though, nice job posting videos of yourself first thing after joining the site.

It seemed like a cut-out cookie, like a rehearsed play. It was simple. You also move slowly and predictably. You don't make up for it with predicting, because I saw several obvious attacks from your opponent you did not see coming / didn't react to.

I wouldn't say your bad though. You have the basics down. Just be less predictable, foresee your opponents attacks and add in more techniques. I find light-stepping and edge-hogging helpful. Here are some points:

punish with fsmash
master boost-smashing, then use it sparingly
do not spam dsmash thoughtlessly
scare your opponent with bair spam

Try and sneak a couple combos in when you get the chance (uair > something).
